Shit, I cant believe I forgot Sauce as well. He would have been on a decent contract at that time too.

Only 4 players of 18 to not play in a GF. If you want to get cheeky you could add Pangai Jnr into the mix, but to keep it real that would be a stretch.

I hope I’m wrong, but we have consistently been told by the club that we will lose a few (two) stars a year because of the cap. Everyone is making the right noises but the Panthers are saying is we can afford to keep them both if they want to (ie stay for unders) and Luai has said openly he wants to stay but that his manager looks after his contract (ie he won’t be staying for unders).

Again, hope I’m wrong but we have re-signed Yeo, To’o, Martin and Leota all until 2027; my gut says we are more likely to lose both than keep both.

That’s a huge turnover in quality players. No other NRL has endured anywhere near such turnover and still seem to find ways to bring in marquee players.

Yeah, that is a top 8 team without too much trouble. Still has depth has from players unlisted that we have lost in that time as well.

The best utility player we have had in recent seasons, someone who you could basically play anywhere and he could do a job was Tyrone May.

Personally I would have Critta at 1 and Momo/Naden in the centres, or even Staines at 1 and bring Naden onto the wing.

Interesting exercise and good debate…

It was interesting to see Momo get a start last night for the Roosters, they have been sparse. Probably would have struggled to make our 17 with the emergence of Tago, Naden likewise I guess. Naden was never explosive over the first 20 but had good high end speed over the longer distance. I noticed a try saving tackle for the tigers earlier this season where he came from the opposite side and stopped a try, pretty impressive. I liked Brent, not perfect, but just a good solid player even if had his issues.

Burto and TPJ just dragged the Doggies to a win.
I'm not sure Cam Ciraldo is the supercoach some think Burton is a running 6 not a 7 but Cam is clueless on that. All Matt needs is a Chad Townsend level 7 next to him directing and he'd be insanely effective.

Manly are deadset down hill skiers. Only look good against shit opponents. The comments around Manly announcing themselves in the coverage really cracks me up. I thought you were there to win the comp from the get go, not just to look good against poor teams.
