LO won't get any money. Its just the council mayor trying to show he's doing something as Inner West Council, who own the ground, can't afford to do anything much to it.

Parramatta happened due to the number of professional organisations who used it. Even though I don't think it needed a full rebuild (you can find plenty of posts on this forum saying so), you can also justify the SFS rebuild on those grounds. Those ground owned by local councils are dilapidated as those councils didn't spend much money on them over the decades since they were built.

Fact is Sydney is a big city, but we are not going to see 6+ stadiums built to modern high standards along the lines of Allianz or Commbank as no Government, State nor Federal is going to have the billions of dollars necessary to do so.

I agree but Leichhardt upgrade should happen. Fraction of cost of new stadium as well

Actually it strengthens it as you can see from attendances that quality of stadium, even in suburban tips has a direct correlation with attendances. Not to mention that for Penrith to keep growing its been identified current ground needs replacing with a brand new 30k stadium lol
Belmore is the outlier as a one off nostalgia venue. Thats the only time these grounds should be used. Rest of time clubs should be in 20k plus modern stadiums. I mean 10-12k avg's, really?

If you're meaning like Redfern, then a trial game there perhaps.. but not regular season games. Maybe something a bit more "up to spec" for regular season games than Redfern, so it can be used like Belmore is (once, maybe twice a season & that's it)

Long term, the Tigers should be looking at other options for a SINGLE modern main stadium - whether that's a massively redeveloped Campbelltown (in conjunction with Macarthur FC), moving to Parramatta's stadium, using Accor stadium, or some sort of new build somewhere like Liverpool.

Didnt you hear? Their business strategy is 6 games at LO, 6 games at Campbelltown lol That'll make them a powerhouse of Sydney for sure.

It was not built in the 80's. It has had various upgrades over the years. The original oval and the uncovered western stand were built in the middle 60s and the original stand from 1966 forms part of the Western Stand. The Eastern stand was built in the early 80s and has not had an upgrade since.
Whilst it has one of the best spectator viewing lines it is substandard in the rest of the facilities - toilets, access, catering.
It is currently averaging around 90% capacity (18.5k) which would be the highest in the NRL. In raw numbers it matches the 30k capacity of Commbank.
The area needs and deserves better, and is penalised by being an area that is pure NRL that has no support for any other code

It is once again being made into an NRL thing.

The ground will have an NRL tennant but is needed for the area

What is better out here a $300m indoor arena with 0 regular tennants

Or a $300m outdoor that hosts regular NRL on top of the other uses?

Yeah, the grand stands built in 80's.
Taxpayers don't need to spend half a billion to build stadium for single team.

Money better spent on upgrading Leichhardt which is constantly in use

Hurtsville seems to be a good spot for a new stadium. Its in the centre off Canterbury, Kogarah, Balmain an also the Sharks. A 30 000 seater shared by 4 teams about 6 to 7 games each. An there bigger clashes at Alliance an Homebush. The outta town teams visiting can be retro round at there own grounds.

What sort of business case could LO put up when there are only 6 games that could charge entrance fees?
And what is this constant use that it supposedly gets?
It would a big drain on ratepayers for the upkeep.
