I’ll leave this here.
Then why are Sydney nrl clubs sponsorship revenues way below afls and some of the nrl clubs in other cities? Why is our fta deal significantly lower than afl if the advertising market is Sydney? Hmmm somethings not adding up in your argument.
What’s that got to do with individual club sponsorships? Surely if as you claimed the majority of the corporates and advertising spend is in Sydney you’d expect a) Sydney clubs to have the biggest corporate revenues in the country and b) fta in Sydney raking in advertising $’s and willing to pay more for nrl content.3 Capital cities to 2.
A simple google search confirms it all really

neither is happening ergo your point of more corporates is irrelevant in a sporting business context.
Which once again are all clearly irrelevant as it isn’t translating to sports clubs sponsorships and corporate sales. ie sponsorship revenue for 21 Sydney v non Sydney sports clubsSydney is the biggest market
Sydney has the most top companies
Sydney has the most millionaires
That is fact
What impact has it had on the Parramatta Eels?Disagree, company execs like to wine and dine themselves and customers in opulence, new stadiums with state of the art corporate facilities are a much easier sell than the hovels they are replacing, stadiums should help the Sydney clubs who use the new opportunities lift their game in corporate sales areas.
Better get used to it the tigers will have a huge drop in fan numbers next year.Haha. 8k (looked about half that) at parra for tigers. But I thought shinny new stadium boosts crowds..?!

Imagine Leichhardt as boutique 17k stadium with new grand stand on either side & trees & heritage stands at end?
EelsWhat impact has it had on the Parramatta Eels?
I'd like to see their corporate box sales before and after the rebuild of Parramatta Stadium.
All nine Sydney clubs would see an improvement if they played at state of the art facilities, but they will always be competing with one another for a limited resource. There's no way they'll grow as much as they could if there was just six or seven clubs across the city.
Would have drawn 5k at suburbia. Stadiums aren’t the only answer, they are part of the answer.Haha. 8k (looked about half that) at parra for tigers. But I thought shinny new stadium boosts crowds..?!
but vlandys is right , like he almost always isre why the need for a new sfs. Check last paragraph
Premier Dominic Perrottet declared an end to half-time beer and bathroom queues as he opened the controversial $828 million Allianz Stadium that almost cost his government an election.
Blessed with a sparkling Sydney winter’s day, the premier and his entourage officially opened the entertainment facility on Sunday ahead of its opening ceremony in the evening, with live performances from Guy Sebastian and Baker Boy.
Women now have almost six times as many toilets to choose from – 600, up from 113 – while the number of wheelchair and companion-accessible seats has increased from 28 to more than 500 at the new stadium.
f**k off Vlandys you merkin
Less than four weeks after publicly sparring with the premier over funding for local stadiums and the NRL grand final, rugby league tsar Peter V’landys said he was reserving judgment on the new Allianz stadium for now.
“The stadium is in its honeymoon period,” he told the Herald. “Its real test is when it’s analysed in 12 months.”
V’landys said he would not be at the opening ceremony on Sunday night, but instead would attend “the real opening when the greatest game for all is played next Friday night.”
