It wasn't that long ago the NRL were looking towards having their own stadium at Liverpool or Rossmore, which would be close to the new Western Sydney Airport. The NRL approached the Tigers and Bulldogs about the prospect of Liverpool.
The NSW government has said no to the NRL over a new stadium in south-west Sydney. They are now exploring the possibility of building their own.
