Future NRL Stadiums

Really??? that many showed up to say goodbye.
Where were they the rest of the year?

Sharks last home game drew over 17000 in 97

In fact the worst crowd they had was against the reds
It was also the only game they didn't get over 10000 to.
On the other hand the reds only managed to get scrape over 10000 4 times at home.
12000 was their highest crowd figure.
( shithouse) all year.

Their second last game they got a whopping 5000 to.
Not really up to standard.

And just clear something up.
I said the end of 1996
You've quoted numbers from 1997
You like to use figures out of context don't you?

1996 reds last 2 games ( 6 weeks )got approx 7000 and 5000
Add that together and divide it by 2 and you get an average of 6000.

They got about 12000 against the warriors
But anyone with half a brain can work out that the crowd would've been mostly kiwis.

Probably expats
Like yourself.

But sadly you can't play the warriors every weekend.

Yes you said the end of 1996, your own quote was wrong. Your crowd figures for the last 2 games are wrong, you are out by almost 1500 people. Doesn't sound like much but when we are talking about such small numbers it is huge. For the record, the last 2 home games had crowds of 5889 (that's a long way from 5000) and 7564. You rounded both these numbers down for some reason, if you are using rounding to determine this you would round those numbers 6000 and 8000 giving an average of 7000 (See what I can do when I manipulate numbers like you do, at least my manipulations are correct) For some reason you decided not include the 3rd last game of the season, I wonder why? any chance it is because its 12760?

To make it clear, the average for the last 2 games was 6726, still crap but a whole 10% larger than you claimed. That 700 is a huge difference at such small numbers. Also if you are to use rounding for this 6726 is rounded up to 7000, not down to 6000

If you add in the 3rd last home game it changes your stats wildly and you get an average of 8738, of close to 9000. So its almost a 50% higher average than you claimed

haha

6726

Utter shit

In fact the last 7 games of 96 they got over 7000 just once.
The warriors game.

Also
Let's make this clear
I didn't mention exact figures once
I didn't claim my figures to be exact
I said "approx"
So while your on your little truth quest you might want to read what I have written first.

By following the team that won the comp?

Of all the things you're spewing in this thread, this is the only thing that's correct. Give up.

It's nice that your team proved themselves this year, congratulations. But why don't you present a better argument for your claims in future? In another thread ideally.

Lol, ok. Carry on embarrassing yourself.

Tell me what part I have wrong then.

Don't forget to quote me.
Don't just say I'm wrong because that proves nothing.

It's like Perth red waffling on about 1997 crowd figures and telling me I was wrong when I was actually talking about 1996 crowd figures.
The end of the year .
Not the middle of the year
Not the start of the year
But the end of the year.

Also remember to take into consideration the use of words like "approx" and "about" when I've used actual crowd numbers.

I really didn't think I'd have to explain that part to so many people.
I ( silly me ) thought people would take for granted the numbers I used were just rounded off numbers.

Which I also did for the Sharks numbers
I rounded down to 17000

Unless exactly 6000 , 5000 or 7000 people showed on multiple occasions.

In the future though, I will be sure to spell it out for the stupid ones.
Don't worry I'll include you.

An approximation of 6726 is not 6000, that is just plain mathematically wrong. An approximation of 5800 is not 5000, an approximation of 7550 is not 7000. Approximations are not guesses. Yes 6726 is shit, but at those number your "approximations" make a huge difference and are only used to make your figures sound worse. Also

I'm going to make an approximation using your method, your IQ is about 100.

And the middle of the year was the quote you used to determine your end of year average.

The Sharks had an average of 5320 by the end of 1996, they won the comp last year, who knows what the Reds are capable of now.

That would make my IQ approx. 110 :)

It's not like a rounded down Western Reds crowds and rounded up the sharks FFS.
I did the same for both...but ey I'll be sure to include you in the stupid farkers section of this forum.

Don't get too carried away, another 726 people over 2 rounds is nothing to be pulling your dick over .
All that tells me is people really don't give a f**k about Rugby league in WA.

f**king hell. I pop in to check on my beloved stadia thread and there's page upon page of this f**king shit.

Carch, you are loosing the argument badly.

ECT, you are an arse hole and a bully. Don't mock people with disabilities ffs.

PR. Everyone knows where you stand. Don't bite everytime and you won't come across as a one trick pony.

Now move it to the expansion forum. I'll even start a thread for you.

Apologies Dave, the guys an idiot and needs to be held to account which he has been so no more needed making him look a dck, he is doing a great job of that on his own. Now back to future stadiums people.

Ha have a cry why don't you.

You chose the wrong team to death ride .
I'll be here to ridicule your hilarious concept of a Perth footy team as long a I can.
...in the meantime sit back and watch this wonderful advertisement for a stadium that is full to the brim with Sharks fans.

And back to future nrl stadiums.......

TOWNSVILLE will soon reap many of the benefits promised by the federal election in the new year, with work on the stadium to ramp up once a design is unveiled tomorrow.

The State Government is poised to name the principal contractor, sharing the successful applicant’s vision for the landmark development.

The announcement is set to trigger a range of new employment opportunities as momentum builds for construction to start in 2017.

And who will be contributing money toward the Cowboy's stadium? The NRL. But Perth wants that sort of money be directed to a team in the west ,with an economy going down the glughole faster than a schooner on a hot day.

Not sure it needs to tbh. I think there is about $150mill budget difference for starters. Be interesting to see tomorrow what the design and capacity is. You'd hope around 28k.

I thought Parra was 300M for 30K while this has funding for 250M and 25K seats?

It won't have all of the bells and whistles but if they make three sided (like the prototype renders) it should be pretty iconic in Australia.

Yes you are right with those figures, I thought it was 200 v 350.

25k will be good size for cowboys. Yeh hopefully something that reflects the area and helps with the humidity and heat for fans would be a good design outcome.

25k seems a bit low to me, was hoping for it to be around 28-32k. I know it will make the game day experience in Townsville a lot better/easier for the average fan, but would have also hoped for them to be able to pack a few more in as well on big game days.
