You really need to ask?Why do people still carry on about the number of supporters turning up at grounds being so important? I thought it was pretty clear it is all about TV ratings these days,not how many go to the footy.
Anyway, I reckon a Perth side would rate well and a second Brisbane side is a no Brainer for the same reason.
The NRL and AFL have roughly the same tv rights income now. And yet the AFL will still make a shitload more money over the next 5 years than the NRL will.
6 million in crowds compared to 3 million. 700k members compared to 200k members. That adds up to hundreds of millions of dollars over 5 years.
If you don't see the financial value in increasing memberships and especially crowds you're an idiot.
