Hah, I knew someone around here had the jersey.

edit: Can you imagine sitting in the GC's stadium with the seats made up of those colours?

I don't see why they couldn't use the current colours when they were planning to use the Dolphins name.

It isn't like the colours they have now have anything to do with the mythical titans.

i was hoping someone had access to a pic of that dolphins launch jersey..
i have seen one worn to a broncos game this year and there was one on ebay about 12 months ago with the number 16 on the back of it and lachlan across the shoulders... it was made for murdoch when the initial bid was launched...

From memory they all had 16 on the back in reference to hoping to be the 16 th team in the comp.

The whole dolphins branding was well before the titans. When they changed to the titans they also changed colours, probably to move away from the dolphins completely. They used orange, green and white because they planned on that being there colours, not because blue, gold and white don't relate to the dolphins name.

That explains the 16 then, i don't know why it didn't occur to me earlier. Seems bleedingly obvious when you point it out.

Dragons Secure WIN Stadium Venue

The St George Illawarra Dragons have confirmed a long-term agreement with Venues NSW over the use of WIN Stadium, Wollongong.
““This agreement ensures rugby league fans will continue to have the opportunity to support the Dragons in the Illawarra,” said Minister for Sport and Recreation, Graham Annesley.
“The new deal will not only benefit rugby league fans but will also flow on to local businesses further boosting the regional economy.
“The agreement includes an initial commitment of five years with a further five year option and demonstrates the value of Venues NSW and the Illawarra Local Venues Council working in tandem to secure the best outcome for the Club, the venue, the fans, and the region.”
Venues NSW Chairman John Quayle said he was thrilled to lock the deal away.
“With the new grandstand and improved patron facilities, WIN Stadium is a first-class venue for rugby league and deserves to have a high profile tenant like the Dragons playing in a national competition,” said Quayle.
Dragons CEO Peter Doust said the club remains committed to the region.
“We have been negotiating with Venues NSW for some months and we are very
pleased to have reached this long-term agreement,” said Doust.
“The Dragons commitment to our region has never been in doubt, it was important that we worked through the terms and conditions to ensure they were of mutual benefits over such a significant term.
"This will ensure our continued business strategy across our region can be further
developed.
“We are all now eagerly awaiting the release of the fixed schedule due in the next days from the NRL so we know exactly which six games home games will be played here at WIN Stadium and which at WIN Jubilee Oval, Kogarah.”

Penrith stadium has red seats but Illawarra stadium has Nulla blue seats. I don't get it.

Looks good btw, hopefully Illasox fans can fill it regularly.

NIB stadium, Perth: South stand is now finished and East stand progressing nicely. Expect Souths to be the first NRL team to play in it sometime in March then two more games though they are relaying the pitch in July so may be later in the season?

I have very little actual information but I'd be very surprised if it's anything more than a tidy up of corroded structural steel, new sheet metal and some other fairly minor improvements. Which really is all that's needed.

Yer true I thought there were original plans to design a roof similar to that on the new western stand, therefore all matching/very similar
