Yes but some here are seem to think that if we're not bowling teams out for 40 and wining by an innings and 789 runs every match we're shit and 57 changes need to be made to the team. Let's give a bit of credit to the opposition. Vijay played a peach of an innings and Rahane is batting well.

Flat pitch. The difference between a reasonable day and India being on top was Marsh's dropped catches.

Gee the umps had to get another over in there, thats 7 overs lost. And people wonder why we struggle to get 90 overs in a day regularly.

Stumps day 1: India 4/311

Plan for day 2, bowl India out for under 450 would be an achievement

Starc injured is a blessing in disguise, the bloke is an absolute hack. Getting a few ODI wickets with blokes trying to hit you out of the ground does not equal a test cricketer.

So how did Smith look as captain?

Bit hard to judge really. He was ok there were a few issues I had but its to be expected. He took a lot of pressure off Kholi by taking Haze out the attack straight away but we got Kholi cheap so its a bit who cares.

I don't think you can judge a captain on a test match where all his fast bowlers are falling to bits really.
