Pretty pissweak effort from the bowlers. Unless there's a major collapse tomorrow morning 450+ looming. With Smith and Warner the only batsmen in form, no Clarke... this will be interesting.

His recent form has been good but he has been shit today, needs to tighten up

Easy to say but its about 40 degrees and humid as f**k at the Gabba and they really are struggling.

He should probabaly drop his speed a bit and let the ball and the pitch do the work.

Weather cannot be an excuse, because its a summer game.

Bit hard to judge really. He was ok there were a few issues I had but its to be expected. He took a lot of pressure off Kholi by taking Haze out the attack straight away but we got Kholi cheap so its a bit who cares.

I don't think you can judge a captain on a test match where all his fast bowlers are falling to bits really.

Yeah, fully understand that little to nothing can really be established after 1 day of a Test.

Can we please get whoever managed the Windies 4 in the 80s to look at our management of our pace attack.

This is fricking ridiculous.

No other country breaks down as much.

So how did Smith look as captain?

To be honest, every time the camera was on Smith he was with Haddin who looked to be trying to run things for the most part. Maybe I was not paying attention enough but thats what I saw.

Great, now we've got Warne bagging off the Aussie bowlers and calling Starc soft.
Putting down your own team, real classy

Boof himself is going to "take it up with him" apparently

Plasticman just wants attention. No doubt Starkers had a slight disagreement with one of his mates in the past so the coward uses his spot in the commentary box to have a cheap go at him.

However, although I wouldn't call Starkers soft I do wonder about his conditioning, preparation and hydration coming into this test.

pretty low act from Warnie

not really

the media twisted his words

Warne never said he was soft. he specifically mentioned his body language after delivering a ball

he is right on that. Starc bowls a ball and that walks back to his mark looking like someone just ran over his dog

Even if Starc can be argued as 'soft' there is no need to slam him on air particularly if its your own team.

I doubt anyone in the Aussie camp takes Warne seriously, but it must be so annoying to have to put up with him and his constant bs.

Starc quite rightly stuck up for his teammate Lyon when Warnie was once again being a self absorbed penis and was talking about a comeback. Starcy said Lyon is our spinner and while Warne has been great for Australian Cricket his time has come and gone. No suprises Warne has held a grudge and couldn't wait to give him a serve. I'm just amazed Warne didn't slmeone slip in a shot at S Waugh while he was at it.
