I hope it is actually easy to get to transport wise. I could see it taking just as long and being as much of a hassle to get there as going to Allianz
1.5km walk from Parramatta station. No doubt there'll be a stonking big parking station at additional expense that'll take an hour to get out of.

Looked very shaky against the Knights but I still think we're going to win the comp. No team has ever won it in our situation but I believe we'll win the NSW Cup and be the first team to win the Interstate Cup back to back.
I think we'll win reserve grade too. What about first grade though?

1.5km walk from the station, but unlike Allianz it’s pretty flat. Not brilliant but not bad.

There is going to be a light rail stop right outside, good for people with kids or the elderly.

If that’s holding people back they probably weren’t going to come anyway.

This is becomming an issue for me (personally) as my mobility declines. I probably won't get down for semis this year because ANZ and Allianz have far too much walking (for me) to be viable. Added to that the seats are crammed in together, and make using a walking stick a bit of a disaster (for me and other patrons)

I know this sounds like a cop out. But, sadly this is my reality. My only way would be to do the Panthers bus and then hopefully have only a little walk.

I think the NRL needs to be flexible with Week 1. If two Sydney teams play each other then it should be at Allianz or ANZ for sure.
.

I know its the NRL's right to host games wherever, but there will be games where we play Manly or Cronulla at Allianz/ANZ and its going to be sub 15-20k crowds which is a very poor reflection on both sets of fans.....

although agree 100% that ANZ shouldn't really host any games in finals wk 1 or 2 (unless its going to be a highly anticipated rivalry where its guaranteed 40k plus).

There will be a light rail stop at Allianz soon too. Some talk it may even get a stop on the new metro.

Just noticed on ABC News scrolling - 'Maloney denies having a strained relationship with Cleary'. Not what you want to see, just before the finals especially. Hope it's all baseless rumours but ABC usually don't resort to sensationalism..

On tv last night he laughed it off and said they are great.

PANTHERS star James Maloney has denied he and Nathan Cleary have a strained relationship.

Maloney, who is out with a knee injury until the finals, told Fox Sports’ Big League Wrap that the reports of a rift between the pair are wide of the mark.

“I don’t know where that has come from because I don’t read the papers,” Maloney said.

I'd be very surprised how something like that has come about.

“I’ve got a really good relationship with Nathan and we were out at training talking through everything we wanted to do today with Ciro (Cameron Ciraldo).

“Where we are at in terms of a relationship between two halves partners, I think it’s brilliant.

"In terms of working out how we are going to play, we are still working on that and we will get it right in the next couple of weeks.”

Ever since the sacking of former coach Anthony Griffin, the Panthers have been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons.

Maloney concedes it is hard for the outside pressures to not affect some players in the lead up to the finals.

"I think it is hard because it is an individual thing,” Maloney said.

“I don’t think I see half the stuff that goes on because I don’t read the papers, so I’m just oblivious to it all.

“That’s how I’ve always been, I don’t buy into all of the talk, so it doesn’t bother me.

“I suppose with young players and you don’t know who is seeing what and how they are thinking and that’s a challenge.

“The build up to the weekend against the Knights at training was fantastic, so it was a little bit disappointing to see the performance we put out.”

At what point does the NRL step in and sanction Andrew Fifita? No player has done more damage to the credibility of the sport over the past 10 years than this bloke. He has a wrap sheet as long as your arm but because he can play, he is allowed to continue to act like a goose.

Cronulla have always had weak leadership and turned a blind eye to poor behavior when it suits them. There isn't another professional sporting team in Australia that would allow this stuff to continue. If he was at the Raiders, they would've sacked him years ago.

What has he done that's worse than Packer or Lodge? Or even Carney?

Our last premiership winning captain was arguably worse too.

Don't you dare say something negative about a Cronulla player on this forum!!!

Really? That’s great. I really dislike the white jersey. The only time I think it might help us is during day games when it is hot and sunny.
