That would require the Roosters to fall over. More likely we could be playing the Storm for 2nd place, which is just as good.

Roosters have

Raiders
Broncos
Eels

Gotta figure they win 2/3 at least, but it would be interesting if they lose to the Raiders this weekend.

The closer we get to losing Peachey the more I’m thinking this is a massive mistake.

I know we have plenty of others to step up but his natural talent isn’t something you can teach.

He’s been a great player for us and hopefulky we get a big crowd in for him.

Looked very shaky against the Knights but I still think we're going to win the comp. No team has ever won it in our situation but I believe we'll win the NSW Cup and be the first team to win the Interstate Cup back to back.

I just watched the highlights and looked at the stats for the Raiders/Roosters game and saw just how some teams are treated differently in this comp. The Roosters gave away 6 straight penalties without a sin bin or even a warning, and Cordner doesnt get reported for a blatant spear tackle.
Makes you wonder - if it were Penrith or Parramatta or one of the less 'favoured' it would have been one in the bin for the penalties and one for the spear tackle!

I also notice that the teams we had 'miracle' wins against all seem to be to be in reasonable afterwards. Manly beat Cronulla, Canberra beat the Roosters, and GC have their own comeback against Manly. Rugby League is such an unpredictable game!
Al Pacino said it best - on any given sunday any team can beat any other team!

its that time of the year to start this discussion again - Sydney teams "home finals" at either ANZ/Allianz stadium....

why on earth did the NRL mandate this rule a few years ago? its a stupid rule and screws over the less favoured Sydney team - Penrith included.

we are a very good chance to gain a home final this series, but why the f**k do we have to move our potential home final to ANZ or Allianz? obviously its all about the $$$ and raising as much $$$ as possible, but do the NRL not get that finals being played at suburban grounds:

a) look better on TV - potentially brining more viewers and sponsorship advertising etc
b) the atmosphere is genuine & electric, unlike the soulless stadiums some Sydney teams are now forced to play home finals at
c) the home team actually gets a "home advantage" - somewhat of a reward for having a better season than the opposition they play

we got 15k to Penrith V Manly last year at Allianz and it looked fn awful on TV when I watched the replay the morning after.

The NRL have this huge obsession with competing with AFL, but lets get real here, we will never compete with AFL crowd figures as the stadiums hold at least twice the capacity of suburban grounds, not to mention Melbourne in particular is super easy to get in & around of, whereas Sydney is a major clusterf**k and probably will be unable to be rectified.... and on top of that, most Melbourne AFL teams are within a 20 km diameter of each other and play at the same 2 stadiums.

Dragons refused to move its week 1 home final vs Manly in 2010 and it drew 15.5k at Kogarah. It was at this point the NRL decided it was losing money having home ground finals in Sydney. The game at Penrith (vs Canberra) on the same weekend got 16,668 and would not have got close to this at ANZ, but that's irrelevant.

What should have happened is the NRL should have reserved the right to move week 1 finals to SFS/ANZ for games against Sydney opponents, but left games against out of town opponents as they were, and extended this into the second week of the finals as well.

From next year we’ll play our week 1&2 finals at the new Western Sydney Stadium. I’d say all the western Sydney teams will.

The problem is mitigated somewhat from next year with the introduction of the new western Sydney stadium. A 30k seat venue is a pretty good size for week 1&2, we should be aiming to sell that out for most finals matches.

I hope it is actually easy to get to transport wise. I could see it taking just as long and being as much of a hassle to get there as going to Allianz

I think the NRL needs to be flexible with Week 1. If two Sydney teams play each other then it should be at Allianz or ANZ for sure.

However Penrith playing the Titans at Allianz or ANZ would be a shocking look.

A shocking look and also a shocking experience for fans.

1.5km walk from the station, but unlike Allianz it’s pretty flat. Not brilliant but not bad.

There is going to be a light rail stop right outside, good for people with kids or the elderly.

If that’s holding people back they probably weren’t going to come anyway.
