The Rugby League Commission is very slowly but surely leaning towards having the Wests Tigers' NRL license revoked if they don't relocate to Perth or Adelaide. Cronulla are the next best chance to move but Tigers are still way in front. Hatcher is convincing people at the NRL that the Tigers brand isn't sustainable in the current climate and that they should relocate to grow crowds in Sydney and move into an untapped market.

They can't just tell a team to move. They will if one goes broke which won't be the Tigers as they just sorted themselves out as a business.

The way I see this, is that Nathan has now signed and is a Panther for another 6 years. Ivan wants to coach Nathan. Nathan possibly wants to play under Ivan but he just signed with us anyway with no guarantee that will happen. Panthers don't really care if the Clearys work together especially in the short term. I cannot see any reason whatsoever that the Panthers club would put their head on the chopping block to get Ivan here before his Wests contract runs out. Nor can I see why they'd pay Wests half a million to get him, as Rothfield is suggesting.

It would not surprise me if they want Ivan not as coach, but to take over Gus's job somewhere down the track.

It's starting to look that way. Apart from RCG, DWZ is probably a shoe-in for NZ with Roger out. Fish might retain his spot, he hasn't done much wrong. That might be about it.
