He can't help himself. He is a control freak.
He interfered regularly when Ricky Stuart was our coach. He used to ask what the game plan was, then put his two bobs worth in, later in the week he would come up with another game plan. If the side lost heavily or didn't follow his master plan he would have no problem walking in the dressing sheds and giving the players spray.
Even runs training sessions.

He did the same with Ivan and Hook at Penrith. I know because my partners brother is at your club.

Gould is rugby league savant, but the trouble is he is always trying to outdo himself with every new idea.
At times he would be better sticking to one thing and following it through.
In 2019 he took part in a review for the Dragons and was keen to take up a permanent spot at the club. That never happened.
A brief stint at the Warriors. Departure blamed on Covid.
Wasn't he supposed to be a player agent too?
Given his past track record I have no doubt he is holding Barrett's hand.

What a great insight, I had realised the extent of Gus's dealings.

Sounds about right. The old article is a cracker. lol.

In the latest Gus saga I think he is just trying to deflect from Barrett and Flanno. If the truth was as Gus claims then the dickheads at Fox would have known that Flanno Jnr was being managed back into the side by Gus through Flanno Snr given he works there. There would have been no where near the carry on that we have seen over the Dogs halves over the past few weeks. Either way TBaz is now pretty much unemployable once he moves on from Belmore.

In my humble opinion it just sounds, looks, (and probably is) a complete mess with spinkles on top of it.

I agree if he gets the DCM from the Dogs and Gus, he won't get another coaching gig in Australia. Maybe will have to travel over to super league.

Is TBaz like one of those players who struggles to make the jump from reggies to NRL. He seems all over the place, with no real plan. Especially when you realise that Gus advised him not to take the job at the dogs.......to him now being TBaz's boss.

Like I said a couple of days ago. I've begun to realise that Gus's truth sppears to be quite 'fluid'.

Gus's truth is whatever he decides it is on any given day. He also loves the spotlight, positive, all good, negative, same same. It's a double edged sword though, sometimes when he did this kind of shit here it was great, other times not so much. To be fair though, even when he gets it wrong I believe his intentions are good in regards to his paymasters.

Yeah I agree. Like some of biggest strengths, become (if the circumstances are right) his biggest weakness.

He does care about the game. Some of his view on cocussion and player duty of care are outdated. But it comes from a good place.

Even if it is true.

Surely the coach that spends every day all day with the team. Should know more about a players' well being than someone in the front office.

That is like Ivan last year coming to ask Matt Cameron if Naden is right to go. Just dumb

It’s amazing that some ‘journos’ have suggested he shouldn’t be picked. I’m sure if you asked the kid whether he wanted to play this week or not you’d get a pretty unambiguous answer.

If he wasn't they'd be complaining as well. Drama merchants and everything is for sale.
