If the side lost heavily or didn't follow his master plan he would have no problem walking in the dressing sheds and giving the players spray.

Did you watch the channel 9 news? Gus's interview was hilarious.
Gus's truth is whatever he decides it is on any given day. He also loves the spotlight, positive, all good, negative, same same. It's a double edged sword though, sometimes when he did this kind of shit here it was great, other times not so much. To be fair though, even when he gets it wrong I believe his intentions are good in regards to his paymasters.
It’s amazing that some ‘journos’ have suggested he shouldn’t be picked. I’m sure if you asked the kid whether he wanted to play this week or not you’d get a pretty unambiguous answer.
