Walsh and Ponga have played halves before. But DCE/Munster/Cleary easily cover that so they are surplus. In Edwards case he is again a victim of his apparent lack of versatility.

Staggs is the lucky one. Specialist centre sure but Holmes has been selected despite being on the bags. I assume he is the backup with Fidow starting centre.

Something I missed in grandfinal celebration that was shown at Merv Cartwright awards was the image if Critta and Spence tightly hugging each other. It was an emotional moment. Can only imagine what these two Warriors were saying to each other. Thanks for the memories and your tremendous contributions boys, you will be missed.

His speech was epic. Penrith Panthers don't leave up the awards night for the News Ltd media to pick over (which is very smart thinking).

It was a long speech (about 20 mins) where he nailed it by saying what many Penrith Panthers think.

Wish I could read what the Smelly graph says about it today.
