Am I the only one who kinda hopes the season gets suspended for say 4-6 weeks????

Enough time for Cleary to get right
The thought definately crossed my mind too!! I was even hopeful that Origin 3 got covid canned so no more of our players got injured! Yes, selfish I know.....

Was hoping for the same. 4 weeks off should cover it. Cleary cant be 100% without surgery. But get his rehab done and everyone else 100% we should be sweet for a red hot crack at the premiership.

Lol, the Dogs have signed Dufty.
Great signing for them tbh. For all his shortcomings he can create something out of nothing which is exactly what the Bulldogs have. So he might keep them from nil a few times a season.

Wont win them shit though

Just what they need more backs

Wasn't JAC supposed to be their fullback? I wonder how he'd feel being shunted back on the wing? Perhaps he has a get out clause if he doesn't get his preferred position?

Anyway I feel that it is a good signing - that team has absolutely ZERO spark.

As you say though - their signings are very heavily slanted to their backline. Not sure they will achieve that much behind a pack that is likely to get absolutely belted every week.

Cleary's aiming for the game against Melbourne. Our games without him if he comes back for that game. Warriors and Brisbane. We're capable of winning those games without Cleary so that's the standard we should aim for.

Personally i want nathan to miss that game, yes if he is fit, play on, but if he is 90% I'd rather lose that match or attempt to win without him... i get 2 points is 2 points, but if your gonna lose, do it against the storm, also the finals are the real tester anyway, we've already beaten melbourne already... just, but I'd rather we get a fully fit cleary back on deck, and decrease the chance of a grubby fkwit munster style act against him, like what happened with luai and martin in origin... god he's a grub.. same as kafusi

Nathan won't be fully fit till hes had surgery. Every game he plays is a risk. Agree with you about Munster and Kafusi, they would target him for sure, absolute grubs. Interestingly, it was Munster who was in the tackle when Nath hurt his shoulder.

All their back signings will offer something...IF they find a pack.

Attack-wise good, defense-wise shit.
His game is so erratic. 1 week he looks so dangerous, the next he has a shocker or doesn't give a shit.
He is definitely a player that has confidence issues. Reared by McGregor hasn't helped.
Going to a team that chops and changes their lineup so much won't help him either. They need a settled spine and some controlled grunt (not Hetherington) and a decent hooker.
Nick Meaney was the great FB hope, then they spurged on Corey Allan. Hoppa and DWZ been tried there.
It won't be easy for him.
Still, a 1-year deal is no great risk for them. He has everything to play for.

Absolutely ridiculous that we'll have to play the Broncos in Brisbane for the 8th straight time since 2016. Sunshine Coast or the Gold Coast I could have copped but I just particularly loathe all the leg ups that club gets, regardless of where they are on the ladder.
