Time for big Josh Kerr to step-up and seize this opportunity.

The Dragons bought Burgess for his experience and also his bulk , Kerr is of similar size so now is the time for him to show his true worth to the Big Red V .

Is the trial over ? Was he found guilty of something ? What was his crime exactly ? What would the punishment for "enter crime here" be ?

The overreaction and self righteousness over this is as bizarre as it is ridiculous.
I wish doctors prescribed Valium when they prescribe red pills.

Innocent until proven guilty notion remains...

But this is the third sexual assault misdemeanor out of our club in front of the courts within the last three years.

Putting to one side - BBQ Gate & the constant disciplinary issues on the field directly contributing to loss of games through sin binnings and players becoming unavailable due to suspension.

Who is running this place? Someone has got to be held accountable for this !!
By the sounds of it, you cant blame our club fior the player being charged. That is taking it too far
I dont blame the club for what JDB was charged for.
How about self accountability. It is easy in rugby league to blame the employer and or look for another scapegoat

Oh, looking at that, the NRL have decided.

I have real issues with trial by media.
Me too, but it was our clubs decision (so Hook said) because they are not privy nor the NRL to all info yet and time was running out before a decision was made, which will ultimately be done by the NRL.
My guess is the NRL got into the clubs ear (trial by media) as they are said to make a decision in the next 2 days, that is handy as obviously post our Round 3 game.

Just taking this up the next level... trust me I have no real interest in doing so.
Can we discuss this as adults?
Let's look at the photo in the article, for starters... what's your first impression?

What was the punishment for Blake Fergurson when he touched up some girl at the Bar while in the company of Josh Dugan???
One was charged with the word "i.....assault". GB's charge has the very new selected wording "s.......touching". There must be a difference

My first impression looking at the dark shadowed face looking down looks like a criminal in a Saints jersey. I thought the NRL would always put the clubs and the players that it governs in a positive light.
Over the years this club has mostly been seen as beyond reproach, but in recent years it's name has been getting dragged through the mud.

This makes me ponder certain things like:
Does the club do due diligence when recruiting players?
Does the NRL and the clubs now have to do psych evaluations on every player to limit the chance of them being implicated of bringing the game into disrepute?
Is this now a larger part of society with these kinds of incidents becoming more frequently reported.
Is this being reported more because of social media?
Are we just unlucky?
Are we cursed?
Would the picture be the same if it was a player from another club?

It's really disappointing as a Saints fan that we will get tarred with the same brush. Read the jibes being bandied about already.

Well I just thought the NRL needs to grow up. Whoever put that article together is clearly a f**kwit with no respect for due process, and no sense of responsibility.

Heck knows, we have our work cut out here moderating good people against potential defamation. The NRL aren't helping with crap articles like that.

Agree. Nobody, including and especially the NRL, should be inferring or implying anything, particularly shaming 3rd parties (such as the Club).

if only the club could stand up to these antics, but that’s a dangerous approach

Are you suggesting the media think us plebs so gullible and easily manipulated that they could set the agenda with a simple and perfectly innocent photograph. Never.
