My first thought is to agree with you.The NRL shouldn’t have to stand him down.
We should take the hard line as a club and do it ourselves.
Yes Maddragon!Personally I’d like to see George released the club doesn’t need the bad press. This is the second strike after the mobile phone drama before Christmas.
we don’t need the drama
In reference to JDB interview, V’Landys seems to be very much part of the woke brigade. This is correct.
I wasn't holding my breath waiting for an apology from some faction of the NRL for Sua sin bin which was unanimously criticised by fox, 9 and radio commentators and directly cost us 2 points
Instead V'landys has come out and attacked DeBelin again.
The hate for our club is clear as day.
You’ve seen it before with this club mate.Club should cut the ties and get rid of him. I’d hate to see our season derailed from this shit
I think George Burgess is doing a great job on his own mateThe NRL will find a way to ruin our finals chances this year.
You’ve seen it before with this club mate.
its the sequel
that would be the best for the players and the clubClub should cut the ties and get rid of him. I’d hate to see our season derailed from this shit
Maybe we should go for his brother instead.that would be the best for the players and the club
Thanks Willow,It's not a good idea to start comparing cases. But a quick search provides you with your answer.
Blake Ferguson has copped a two-year good behaviour bond over indecent assault
Ferguson lawyers takes aim at NRLwww.foxsports.com.auAgain, not good form to make comparisons, particularly when you don't know the circumstances.Ferguson loses appeal over Cronulla nightclub assault
Former NRL star Blake Ferguson has lost an appeal against his conviction for indecently assaulting a woman at a Sydney nightclub, but has had his sentence halved.www.abc.net.au
No worries and fair enough. Nowadays I tend not to make any connection with NRL sanctions and the legal process. Thanks Willow,
I was meaning what was the NRL sanction, ie. did they suspend him for bringing the game into disrepute etc.
But yeah, lets not compare, because we don't know the circumstances. surely it's not the same.
he should play thi sweek...everyones overreacting...let due process take its course...we need 2 points aand the best team on the pitch...this one smells a little differnt to JDBs caseRead Somewhere George is denying the whole thing. Reading between the lines.... he knows the woman..... and i am assuming the allocation is an arse or tit grab, and its his word vs hers. I highly doubt he will get any jail time. Play on. Innocent until proven guilty.
We already got shafted with the JDB case. He got cleared and still we get pumped by the media.
Time for backs to the wall stuff.
I just read somewhere that Hook has said that Burgess won't be named in the final 17 on Thursday night. Sorry I can't find the article again to post the link.he should play thi sweek...everyones overreacting...let due process take its course...we need 2 points aand the best team on the pitch...this one smells a little differnt to JDBs case
Yep Hook has pulled him from the sqaud... Well that was a shortlived career..I just read somewhere that Hook has said that Burgess won't be named in the final 17 on Thursday night. Sorry I can't find the article again to post the link.
No mate . . . the only lady our players slap is the "Queen of the Nile" . . . and we still get stiffed( pun intended) by the refs and the judiciary and the NRL.To me irrespective of innocence until proven guilty, our players just shouldn't allow themselves to be put into these "questionable" positions in the first place. We don't know the circumstances to these cases but even if found no cause for further action, the black mark has been stamped on our club's cultural reputation nonetheless.
This is possibly a reason why we keep on getting hit with these harsh ref/judiciary penalties.
