Just reversed a call in favour of Melbourne after a classic Smith dummy spit that would be penalised if any other captain bunged it on.

Yeah other captains like Ennis and Hayne who kept getting penalised when they were whinging to the refs all through their games... oh wait

That's the first I've heard that. Everyone else is saying it clearly hit him on the torso, even Griffin said that. You are the first person I have seen say it hit him on the wrist. Musn't have been so clear to literally every other person who watched the game.

lol faalongo had to be binned for sure!

What happened? Wasn't watching.

Doesn't matter whether it's the first or 90th time you've heard it. Go to the nrl.com highlights and look - clear cut wrist.

Ive seen it a few times. Screen shot it for us? I would really like to see this because everyone else who watched the game missed it.

That piece of shit could drop a duke on the refs boot and would still get gifted a penalty

Ref's should be allowed to reverse their calls. In the NBA the officials huddle to discuss the call on big ones to get it right. He should have reversed the sin binning after seeing replays or the other refs should have stepped in.

You're as good with anatomy as a few eels fans after the quick tap f**k up.

Except I am a neutral in this case. All I'm saying is watch the highlights with the view from the dead ball, the first one. I don't care enough to screen shot it or any bullshit like that, but it happened

Ref's sometimes blow the whistle, wait for others to say something then make the decision if not 100% sure.

Right, here's an assignment: go to the below link:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_-O7xjn5jY

Go to 3:13 in. Tell me what happens to the ball, after it first projects off Nightingale's chest.

This is called the Cummins Test.

If you pass, you may call yourself a man. If you fail, you may seek employment as a video ref.

Lol it never hits Nightingale's arm. Hits his chest and his thigh.

Would be even more obvious it doesn't touch from an angle behind the goalposts.

Don't get the drama with Gillett's sin-binning. The merkin had been doing it all game. Surprised it wasn't sooner.

Personally I think if the ball hits any part of the body above the waist it should be classed a knock on. But in this case the refs were correct as the rules stand.

Terrible decision.

However it is interesting that 2 weeks ago every one in the media and fandom has been blowing up about the bin not being used and now we have had at least 2 sin in those 2 weeks.

Be careful what you wish for.

One other thing that shits me is players harassing the ref to bin a player as the Dragons did.

That should be a immediate penalty or caution.
