All I have to say is football is my religion, Parra is my Mecca and Hindy is my god. Rugby League and the friends I have made through it are what gets me through the years and thats all I need.

Now lets all join hands and sing Kumbaya

I wasn't pushing my beliefs my friend, I have a right to an opinion and this is my opinion.

Yes, you have a right to your opinion and everyone has the right to mock Jesus or any other religion or god. As a person who doesn't believe in god, I find nothing wrong with mocking god or religion as it's something that doesn't exist. In my opinion, there isn't a god, so I don't consider mocking it to be a bad thing. There are many things that can offend people. Religion or belief in god is not something special that we all have to be careful of.

Are Storm fans christians? I think we need to go back and check whether fans of past winning teams have been believers or not.

Seriously though, I think you need to seek help. I really do.

ARE YOU SERIOUS??
yes you do have your right to have your opinion. Although if you wanted to go against another country you wouldnt mock it cause then you would be racist. Same thing with religion and people's beliefs. He was just expressing his opinion but i rekon its been taken out of context totally now.
Yes i believe that there are some Storm fans that are Christians.... theres alot more in the world then people realise and every single team no matter what code would have supporters.
Also just because he has a strong belief and wants to express it does NOT mean he needs help.... cummon wake up to your self

OMG this forum officially just hit a new level of ridiculous.

No one ever wins a religion debate.

N.Hindmarsh_fan, you should probably take any comments about 'god' with a grain of salt when you consider that it is only people behind a keyboard and we are talking about Footy.

So are you saying that if someone were to mock something that you held particularly close to your heart, say a parent or close relative that you wouldn't have the right to be offended?

There should not have been a poll(although i have voted). I know that after this poll is concluded N_hindmarsh and his type will claim some sort of moral superiority if they win.

How bout the opposite? How bout all non-believers leave and you can have your nice little christian club.

Actually not a bad idea. Would be good to see the Christian players against the non-believers. THeres alot of amazing Christian players out there. And also one of the best Coaches in Wayne Bennett....

What concerns me the most is that this pole may decide the fate of the entire universe. I mean what if 'No God' wins the vote and the galaxy winks out of existence? Or what if 'Yes God' wins and it brings about Armageddon?

That makes no sense at all. There is not a god, so there is nothing wrong with mocking it. It's his choice to believe or not.

A "god" that suddenly appeared thousands of years ago, told some guy with a beard how it was, then disappeared and thought so little of us that he thought stories passed down through the years were enough to base our belief system on. This god has very little respect for the intelligence of the human race.

Having a strong belief system does not mean he needs help. Saying that we lost through the vengeance of god does. I'm quite sure of that.

Reluctantly joined the forum to try and stop this thread that will go no-where and bring honour to no-one. I am a Christian, I love the Eels and I'm sure God would not rate the footy as important whilst there are people buried under collapsed buildings and Samoans mourning their own dead.

The other thing I'm sure of is that God will take care of everyone who has posted here in His own way in His own time - believer or not. So you all go do your own journey with (or without) God and start talking footy again please.

:(
