I think I met this bearded guy a few weeks ago in the queue at the members bar. From out of nowhere, he made an unkind comment about my tie and Sugar ( from LU) had to set him straight that I had come from work.

That was the game when we beat you at ANZ.

The Roosters today released a statement saying they were "very disape]pointed" by Cherrington's actions.

"(The club) has taken into consideration his unblemished record and the additional club promotions and community work he has undertaken since the incident and will continue to work with Cherrington on his rehabilitation."

It said the Roosters would decide on Cherrington's in-house punishment after his parole was assigned next week.

The punishment is expected to result in Cherrington being ordered to do unpaid community service involving feeding the homeless and helping junior players.
