No, I don't think I was arguing as well.
Let's call it a discussion
I like that word, discussion!

Do you think that with Morts appearing on the club's 2011 membership promotional flyer, that the situation was more likely to be the opposite with some sort of pressure on Anderson to keep picking Morts in the side?
I believe Morts could also be described also a sponsor of the club, with the wine business... not that that should make a difference in team selections. DA has been very dignified in his silence, but I personally would love to hear his side of proceedings, when the time comes that he can be open about it (timing may be subject to conditions of accepting a pay out).

Finally, someone says it. Lookout, Bartman. You are going to be labelled a conspiracy-theorist-nutcase now...
WOE
I`ll concede that it is possible that there was pressure to keep selecting Mortimer. However, it is just as possible that Anderson was a very stubborn, bloody-minded fellow who could not admit when he was wrong.
At the moment, the 'official' situation is that Anderson was solely in charge of selections and recruitment. So anything else is pure speculation (or for those politically-minded, pure opportunism.) Daniel Anderson always seemed a pretty strong character; not the sort you would think was easily swayed by outside influences. And I don`t think Bartman is a conspiracy-theory nut-case; I think he has a definite agenda of trying to convince as many people as possible that the board is incompetent, and a bunch of 'cowboys and clowns'. The problem is that he has no evidence whatsoever that this is the case, so he latches onto any opportunity that might promote that argument. At the end of the day - no matter who was responsible - the selection of Mortimer all year was a tragedy.
Unfortunately lingard, who else could we have picked in the halves? We weren't going to move Hayne, Humble wasn't ready, none of our other young halves stood out...
It's not like Ando really had a choice.
Pfft. Boxhead, if you haven't already noticed, according to others Humble was already the greatest player in the universe, beside Hayne.

My god some of you people are tragics.
Play fair.
;-)
Anyway, on Foxsports News, they reported that Daniel Mortimer was the most impressive player on the first-day of training, and they said he wants to secure the number 7 jersey.
Well, he's working hard and has the self-confidence, that was what he needed.

This is some news for you guys to think about. Before you start laying into Mortimer, FFS be positive for once and at least give the kid some credit for trying hard.
Why don`t you give Tom Humble some credit? And you still haven`t answered my question. Is it too hard?
I give Tom Humble every credit. He is a great talent. I also give every other player the credit they deserve. That should tell you immediately how I feel about this whole situation. I don't give a rats who the particular player is that is being criticised, I care that they are our players and I defend them.
And I haven't seen your question. I was merely making a joke and pointing out an interesting tid-bit that says Morts wants to play halfback next season.
Alright, when I say not ready for first-grade, I mean he still needs more work. If you want to argue with me, at least admit he still needs to work on his game before he becomes a consistent first-grader. And yes, you can point our Mortimer to me all you like but I don't honestly care. I'm not arguing that anymore, nor am I going to argue this entire ridiculous argument.
When I am called biased and moronic for having an opinion, I think I don't want to get involved anymore. That's something I should have done a while ago. I was joking around with my recent posts as I indicated I would, and some people have taken it far too seriously.
If you all want to have a fight about who plays what then go ahead. I don't give a rats.
And I'm not saying you did anything lingard, I'm just referring to past occurences.
Well, we`re having a conversation. I`m not calling you moronic. What`s up with you? I simply asked you why you thought Tom Humble was not ready for first grade. What areas do you think he needs to work on? But if you`re just going to carry on like a little girl about it, then I`m not really interested in your reply anyway. ( I don`t think you actually have a reply.) You`re the one who continues with all this Mortimer bullsh*t and then doesn`t want to hear any other side of the conversation. Bit unfair, isn`t it?
See my edited post. I was joking around again.
You have to remember (I said it earlier), I'm not going to post any really serious argumentative stuff regarding our halves anymore.
I'm trying to get everyone to loosen up by laughing at my stupid comments, and it's half-worked, and half-turned out wrong. Sorry if I offended you!!
That was unfair though uncle lingy, wasn't it?
So you`ve no idea what areas Tom Humble needs to work on. I thought so.
