Have the Tigers convinced Moltzen to stay? Release sought from his Saints contract

Nice try idiot

Sheens showed his hand numerous times this year when Lui and Marshall were out. Jacob miller played in the halves and moltzen fullback or bench. He has stated plenty of times that moltzen is a fullback and moltzen has said that's where he wants to play.

We have also recently resigned 20s 5/8 Curtis Sironen for 3 years.

Even if Lui goes and moltzen stays moltzen will be in the 1

Hey believe what you like.

I am comfortable with the info I received but make your own mind up on the info available to you.

Its easy to make crap up and make it sound plausible. Hell even one of your own believed it.

You probably see why people tend to be dismissive of unlinked claims.

You clearly are geniused. I thought you blokes would be happy because Humphreys has come out and told you all precisely what his position is, despite the fact it hasn't changed since day one. At no point did Humphreys say he wanted to keep Moltzen. The only point of contention is that Moltzen didn't get a formal release. Please point out the backflips, because if you look at the facts, you'll see none.

No need for insults.

If indeed Humphreys hasn't changed his position, why all the drama over the release? Is he doing it just for sh*ts and giggles, to get his name in the papers and annoy the Dragons? There is no other explanation for it - and clearly the entire rugby league community, except you, believes Humphreys has attempted to backflip on their original decision to release the kid. Otherwise, it's a completely moot point.

Funnily enough though, despite whinging to begin with in July, he didn't say a word until his preferred halfback for 2012 was charged for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, again. Suddenly the Tigers look like being without a halfback for 2012 and arguably their next best option "hasn't officially been released" despite admissions from the coach and other Tigers staff 3 months ago that the entire club was aware of his contract situation going forward.

Absolute arrogance and petulance from the Tigers.

Humphries is doing whats best for the club.

Covering all bases so to speak, who gives a f*** what others think.

He does whats best for the Tigers and loves the joint. He has made some tough but good calls and the Tigers will grow from strength to strength

The guy has helped make the Tigers one of the strongest teams in the comp and thats without much money coming from the Leagues clubs.

Theres more to running a club than player decisions.

Moltzen is overated but shows some potential so.........

Small club over playing its hand with a bigger club. It was never going to work and Moltzen was always going to take his place as a utility back at St George in 2012.

Next beat up.

The way he's conducted himself over this saga could make a few clubs think twice before handling negotiations with him.

That's who I was talking about.. ie Humphries. Makes him look like you can't trust a word he says unless you have it on paper.

We had best be careful, some of the Tigpies fans get their knickers in a knot if you dare say anything remotely negative about their club.

Has this bullshit been resolved yet?
Where is Moltzen playing next year?
Half a year in Wollongong, half a year in Balmain?

He'll probably end up a Bulldog!

Doust hasn't presented himself as the most competent businessman either. As a matter of due dilligence Doust should have clarified that Moltzen had been released from the Tigers rather than relying on the word of his manager. I know you want to absolve your own of responsibility for this embarassing affair but you have to put your parchialism aside and admit that it takes two to tango.

Blah blah blah.

The original issue was more of a case of the timing of our annoucement, not the fact that Moltzen hadn't been released (as he had). Hence everyone's dismay that Tiger's trumped the "he's not released card" after they waited a further 3-4 months to say anything more about it.

I'd argue that "relying on the word of his manager" is common practice, and I'm betting Moltzen's manager is joining the line of people annoyed with Tigers' inept management.

Our CEO's record of re-signing Lawrence, Ayshford, Ellis, Woods, Groat and signing Blair this year and Tuqiri is quite impressive.

The clean out of the players and re=signing of our younger players has also been very good. The clean out suggests at least one more player to come in the next two years.

It is not a record of inept management.
