How many weeks for Graham

What happened to the 'fad' ruling they had last year about not approaching referees? Graham was off his chops swearing his head off at the ref yet stayed on. To me, that was fairly poor refereeing. He should have pointed him to the stands.

I agree with the comments being made that the crowd were incensed with the original decision, it was line ball, but it was only exaggerated by the moronic carry on from the Bulldogs. Two or three of them should have been sent. Graham should get time for gross misconduct.

So start it earlier to allow a ten minute wrap up.

Might even give them a chance to squeeze a few more ads in..

The dilemma that Nein have is that they want the footy to run seamlessly into the news, so people won't reach for the remote when facing ten minutes of post-game bullshit.

At the same time they want the news to start at the correct time otherwise they risk those non-footy-watchers who turn to 9 at that time and expect the news, of all things, to start on time.

They want to have their cake and eat it too.

How many games have you ever watched before? Contact with the kickers legs is a penalty. Contact with the head is a penalty. It doesn't matter if the contact is accidental. And of course if a player is seriously hurt and stays down there is a greater chance of the ref noticing the foul play. But because refs sometimes miss things, you've been dealt a grave injustice by the ref noticing this incident courtesy of a player being hurt? Cry more.

Head clashes are accidental and not penalised.

It was an accident he has eyes for the ball only, it is a contact sport therefore people will get hurt.

He did not attack the legs of a kicker he attempted a charge down.

The game is too f**kin soft !!

Yes, I gather thats their motive.

It does diminish the experience though for the viewer IMO, and it's the only major sport I can think of anywhere that has no "wrap up" at the end of the game when being broadcast to its primary audience..

So all head clashes should go on report for dangerous contact?

It was not a penalty, if a player does an injury in a legitimate tackle does he get suspended?

He did not intentionally make contact with that neck tattooed little half back.

By the way that neck tattoo will look so awesome when he is 50 and wrinkled, I might get one.

So leg tackles on kickers are legitimate? FMD

Neck tattoos define your whole male supporter base.

Can I explain the difference?

With a head clash you've got two moving heads, neither of them knows where the other is going. Occasionally they both try to occupy the same space while the eyes are pointed elsewhere. Head clashes are completely and utterly accidental. Not reckless, not careless but accidental.

Yesterday's incident involved a bloke diving at the ball, and at the same time, striking the supporting leg of the kicker. The leg was in the same position throughout, so assuming Graham wasn't in fact attempting to injure Reynolds, he was nonetheless reckless or careless in his conduct, and thus negligent.

You'll find that car accidents, almost all of them, are not accidents at all, but caused by an error. A few are caused by mechanical fault, which is an error of inadequate maintenance. Most are caused by errors of judgement, a few by recklessness. An accident is when a tree falls on your car. Hard to imagine too many other situations that are completely accidental.

A bloke a few years ago got 7 years imprisonment because he had an epileptic fit at the wheel and killed 3 people. He had lied on his licence renewal that he did not suffer from epilepsy. Even though he was unconscious when the crash happened, he was found guilty of negligence causing death and sent to gaol.

Yes Cronulla fans have the most neck tattoos WTF?

It was not a legs tackle it was a clear attempt at a charge down he was not even attempting a tackle ,the contact was an accident and part of the game in a tough contact sport.

 every sharkies fan in the shire looks like Todd Carney. They walk around in front pocket tees that go down their knees, cropped shorts or jeans, thongs, a flat brim hat, and a neck tattoo.

I don't know why you try to argue this, it's not a matter of opinion. It's officially a penalty. The rule is you can't make dangerous contact under any circumstance. Please try and process that.

Reckless contact with the legs of a kicker is banned. Doesn't matter if it's intentional or not, it's a penalty. The only difference intention can make will be to the length of his possible suspension.

You can't dive into the legs of a player kicking the ball.

Car accidents WTF?

It's footy mate, it's tough it was an accident plain and simple.

Any other player would be forgiven fir this as an accident. But this ear biting, head butting pommie grub deserves everything he gets.

He didn't he dived at the football.

You're completely out of your depth. Again: you can't make dangerous contact under any circumstance. Your number 1 ticket holder even f**king changed the tune of his article because he was told he was wrong. Give up.
