How will souths go without Reynolds?

If it's a load of shit, then why did Souths come out with that diagnosis. They could have said it's too early to tell, further analysis is needed but no, they came out with the 4-5mth statement while tensions were running high. If that's not throwing wood into the fire I don't know what is.

Yeah, everyone is conspiring against the Dogs.

An initial assessment of at worst 4 to 5 months may be 2 months. He is still out.

Your Captain took out the legs of a kicker. Deal with it.

Edit: further, Graham was commenting about the 'tackle' in the press. Since when was the rule that you couldn't comment on these matters reversed?

there's no doubt the medical staff at Souffs have been knabbed from the centrelink dole queue, how you can be so wrong with your diagnosis has me in a state of bewilderment, add that to the amount of times a Souffs player has been able to play on despite having an obvious injury which could cause long-term injury

all this at a stage when the NRL is trying to crack down on poor player welfare and yet they somehow continue to get away with it

Our injury management has never been better. I believe we had zero season ending injuries last year, and only a handful that ran over a month last year. Troy Thompson is also the maroons trainer and highly regarded in the industry. Guys who you could guarantee for a season ending injury every year like Sam Burgess, Ben Lowe and Asotasi were all but cleared of their injury woes. Of course the hard facts would never help the pseudo doctors on here

Want him to miss games?

In case you're new to the site I don't rate him at all, I'm happy for him to play every minute of every game!

What I'm saying is pathetic is how souths have inflamed the situation by coming out 5 minutes after the fact and saying he would miss 4-5 months. One of the following have Clearly occurred:

A) McGuire was trying to justify the penalty and have graham suspended long term so said his halfback was going to be out longterm

B) the souths medical staff are completely inept. After this misdiagnosis, the Reynolds non concussion and Kyle turners 5 concussions last year yet not missing a game, if I was a souths player I'd be bloody worried about any of them getting their hands on me

We all know the answer to that one though don't we. Lying, cheating low life grubs that they are..

I think the Rabbitohs coming out and saying the injury was a lot worse then it was is very irresponsible, it also had a knock on affect betting wise, roosters came in as favourites when everyone thought Reynolds was out for most of the season and bunnies price jumped.

Surely someone should be looking at possible corruption charges? They made a false statement knowing this would affect betting, what if some insider on the club went and chucked big money on Souths to win the premiership knowing the Reynolds injury wasn't that bad? Surely they should be investigated on this issue.

Betting? Who gives a flying canary about betting?! Got a beef with it, take it up with Sportstab, Lad Brokes or whom ever.

We still haven't had anything official from the club. Pretty sure Reyno was off to see the surgeon today to discuss. All we have to go on is a couple of articles saying that he was moving better on Sunday / Monday and the mole saying that he's heard the injury wasn't as bad as first thought.

If he has to have surgery, he's out for several months. Perhaps we all need to wait and see what the official word is before we all fly off the handle.

He's seeing the surgeon Friday. Won't know anything until then.

It was a worse case scenario of 3-5 months. It still may be, ligament injuries are hard to diagnose until you've seen a specialist and have the scans. I don't have a problem with Maguire giving us a worse case scenario, it helps the fans get prepared for the thought of losing reynolds long term or giving us a boost if we get news that his only going to miss a month or 2. People that are dumb enough to place a bet on whether reynolds injury is bad or not have no sympathy from me

Anyone who would make yearend bets based on injury this time of the year can enjoy their business , it certainly is NOT the business of the coach/Nrl.

Did you complain when Josh Reynolds came back from injury a couple of weeks earlier than expected? lol

Madge has given his worst case impact on Reynolds at this stage.........the only one that will count is the "specialist" after full reviews of scans/tests.Folks are talking couple of weeks to a couple of months.I would prefer the worst case from Madge at early stage versus an optimistic one of a couple of weeks and then a week later we get worse news.

Besides any "wise punter" would rather hear the worst case and then wait for final news versus FOOLS who jump/bet on early news.

Perhaps you could pass that advice onto your coach and playing roster before they all went spouting off at the mouth about 4-5 months on the sidelines in the press immediately after the game?

Aww poor widdle Danish having a cry because the coaching staff diagnosed Reynolds with an injury that might not be as bad as first thought, what a tragedy :-({|=

Lmao you're as pathetic as your team was on Sunday.

All souths have said is worst case scenario 3-5 months we will know more when the scans are done. Why are people so mad at souths for preparing for a worst case scenario?

Because they want it to be worse as they're genuinely worried about us because we're a force in the league.

Do the idiots here realize it still may be 4-5 months? And if it isn't, who the f**k cares. Whether it is 1 month or 3 months or 5 months it makes no difference to anything.

Dogs have done exactly the same thing with Morris. 10 - 12 weeks for a hamstring... Give me a break.

The difference being that there were no charges pending as a result of Morris's bung hamstring. Michael Maguire was carrying on about how Reynolds ligament was seperated and was looking at 4 or 5 months. Now suddenly no one knows how damaged his ligament is.
