I’d rather he left, to much money for a 34 year old who is not a match winner. I’d rather have Reynolds any day of the week.
Now the guttersnipes will knock on the door with their cheque books open.
Fine by me, big money for old Holdens with lots of k's on the clock - If I owned one I'd sell it to the first numbat that fancied it - for silly money, of course.

The statement from the club and Hunt reads exactly the same as just before Ivan walked out on his contract with WT....fully expecting Hunt to buy his way out at season's end ...if not before and be "reimbursed" later

Well well the Board has found their testicular undercarriage (balls). How about that. Well done to the Board and Flanno. I don't doubt there'll be more horse trading to come in the following days but Round One to the Dragons. This mess could never have been handled by Ryles, Hornby and Young junior so we dodged a huge bullet there.
Oh by the way, a big F... you Broncs!

Both parties digging in their heels. Betting Flanagan doesn't want Hunt after the disloyal sook insulted him. Bloody power brokers on our BOD still messing us about..

Ha ha. Love it. Mind you, I'm not selling my low mileage 1975 Holden Statesman DeVille to anyone!! One day I'll post a photo!

Now we are in the power seat for 24 and 25... let's negotiate for a transfer fee or flanno approved players from whoever wants him

And how much grief have we saved Benny and his family for the rest of this year.. pretty hard to get a house or rental property overnight and play for the Bronx at same time.. saints have just done a bit of player welfare

And congrats to the board for playing hardball

I agree in that I reckon Flanno and the rest of the team would consider Hunt to be an utter d'head (taken much longer than I expected).

I can't see how the BOD are messing us about with this though. The whole commotion has been caused by Hunt (and, no doubt, other disloyal prior players and coaches that are often quoted as being Hunt's best mates). The StGI BOD and management have done the right thing by telling him / them what they can do with all this BS. IMO, they should go one step further and take the opportunity to drop the prick to ressies (at 9) until the right offer is on the table.

This is it in a nutshell. Sad to think that all the hopes and fortunes of the rugby league clubs we so passionately love rest on how far a fat cat will go to deliver the best players out there. This is what has become of sport. If you end up on the wrong side of it…it becomes a punish.
Boy your not wrong thebigtedv your not wrong

For what it's worth I wouldnt mind betting the NRL hasn't had a word to our mob and said we might give you blokes a big kick in the nuts if you roll over in this situation.
I said on here last night we held all the cards, that was obvious to everyone .....the problem was that with our track record did we have the intestinal fortitude to deliver...it's early days yet but so far we have.
Now poses the question does Hunt get relieved of the captaincy......... with our club and his teammates knowing full well he wanted out and in the end it was the club that stood firm.

To be completely honest with you all I didn't give a fig if Hunt went or still ends up going....what really rattled my cage was the reported side step to the Donkeys for the remainder of this year . If it turns out he ends up with the Titans for 24/25 and sits out this year then I'm more that happy with that as well, that's providing we get adequate compensation so we can pay players that want to be here
