Would they have told him to take a pay cut if they knew they had an extra million to spend though? Not just that but they were also counting on making Hayne the highest paid player in the NRL (assuming he isn't already). Surely that comes at a price and there's a good chance Sio was one of the sacrificial lambs to make that happen. Anyone who thinks Hayne hasn't totally screwed Arthurs future plans is delusional IMO. Next year shouldn't have been as challenging as it's going to be but thanks to the king of selfishness it certainly will be. I can't believe that Sharp and co are still bending over for him. I would have given him an ultimatum and moved on!
