For someone that has lost interest in cricket I must say that this series has been a breath of fresh air. India do not tour enough. We should make them come every second summer after the Ashes.
World test championships schedule means we only get them one every 3 years. Next we are off to India in 2027.

Our Schedule
June 2025 - June 2027
June 2025
3 Tests against WI Away

November - December 2025 - January 2026
Ashes Series Home

September 2026
3 Test Against SA Away

December 2026
Trans Tasman Series 4 Tests

January 2027
Border Gavaskar Trophy Away

March 2027
2 Tests at home agasinst Bangladesh

4. Konstas is a flash in the pan.

He's more than that, he got into the Aussie team by playing conventional cricket and for some reason we've got him playing T20 cricket as an opening batsman.

Once he learns to think on his feet I believe he will become a good batsman and I can't see him being dropped at the moment as there really is no opening batsmen kicking the door down to replace him

no Sydney New Years test in January 2027?

I would think there would be, but as a for test series, you’d have to think something like Perth or the Gabba would miss out.

Maybe the Gabba because it would be undergoing renovations?
According to this article, the Gabba misses out.

I dont think Sydney will lose the New Years Test.

Day 3 & Pink Day has become such an event now well the whole test has really.

So why change it.

I do say we are very lucky in Sydney to get the Test Match when we do compared to other states during the Xmas/New Year period when things at work are a lot quieter or shut down.

The last time we played a Sydney test outside of New Years was 1996 in November, I recall the crowds weren't great and they replaced the New Years test with the New years ODI, the one with Bevan's last ball four.

Keep the traditional Boxing Day test and New years test in Melbourne and Sydney.

Interesting we play the Kiwis in 4 tests, that's probably never happened before. Potentially a 4-0 clean sweep but some of our big stars will probably have retired by then

Maybe they will squeeze in a 2 test series Prior to the NZ series 👌 bring back Bellerive

England are coming out in March 2027 for a one off test to celebrate the 150th anniversary of test cricket.

So the MCG will get 2 tests that Summer.

But the good news is the AFL will be locked out longer then usual that season due to it.

I think that test will be on the March long weekend in Victoria.

I have paid more attention to this series than I have for close to 15 years. I enjoyed it.

Take homes:

1. India are a dysfunctional rabble.
2. Bumrah is world class.
3. Aus is solid but unforgettable.
4. Konstas is a flash in the pan.
Also haven't watched so much Test cricket for more than twenty years. Comments on (1) yep, the end of an era, (2) no doubt, (3) solid and largely forgettable, (4) on the fence but time will tell, adding (5) pity Webster and Boland have blossomed so late, (6) wish we had an authentic express bowler.

I think Sam just needs to use his grey matter a bit and not just act on instructions to be so aggressive.
After he got off to a flying start yesterday he then started to knock the ball around for singles at will, so he was doing fine till that f**king stupid shot he played

There was just no need for that shot while the runs were coming quickly enough
He is a bit of a head case I think.
