For what it's worth, there was a reference to "statue gate" in Ray Warren's book. In summary, when it all blew up, Voss contacted Rabs and advised him to watch what he said on Sunday Roast, with the view that Hadley was taking it out of context, etc. Rabs' response, as I recall, was that he didn't need to do that and didn't care what people were saying about it. But then again, there is a whole chapter dedicated to blowing smoke up Hadley's ass, so interpret that any way you will...

No chance of Vossy being back on Ch9, or least in the near future.

Raaaaayyyy wasnt calling much for Ch 9 towards the end of the season, it was basically Tim Gilbert or Mat Thompson calling the 2nd games. Gilbert was painful to listen, but Thompson I can handle.

Its good that Fox Sports took Vossy on board and called NRL games besides Warriors matches.

Mate sure was, can't remember the first question. Second was Kelly slater 11 or 13 titles. Third was the churchill and i the though process was "set up great try, surely he got it". 4th question was did ponting beat england 5-0 which would have got and last one was is a netball goal worth 1 or 2 points...

If i got that third i would have got it for sure, what's the prize?

some great news - they just said that Vossy will be commentating on todays NZ V Samoa match on Gem. Game will start in a few minutes.

Not sure if he'll be on for tomorrows Australia game though

Vossy was footy relevant, accurate, fair, informative, funny, and never once mentioned the colour of the carpet in the bistro at Bathurst leagues club, or argued about his co-commentators understanding of the rules.

Spot on. The difference in commentary between NZ-Samoa game and the other 3 matches in this tournament is like chalk and cheese. Voss is so far out in front it's not funny. The jokey blokey garbage that followed on sunday from Rabs and co was embarrassing by comparison.

Hopefully since the final is being played in NZ, Nine will carry the Voss commentary again
