Where is LeedsRhinos to explain what is going on with the England side?
The summer is over in the UK its closing in on winter where the sky gets darker and the internet has crashed down for another winter.

Somewhere in the fading light is LeedsRhino holding a faint torch light looking for any light at the end of the tunnel to come through. Unfortunately he has left his crease, the stumps went down and the light is officially is gone.

I don't see how anyone stops India this tournament.

Super balanced all-round squad.

Flat pitches everywhere except convenient rank turners against their supposed tougher opponents (despite this "officially" being an ICC run event).

Only Australia or South Africa in full on beast mode can stop them, but it'll be bloody tough.

Haha yeah it hasn't gone unnoticed by me that most of the pitches in this World Cup are roads but when India play there is something in it for the quicks or spinners.

Yeah i reckon the only hope is if India go through unbeaten and slip up in a semi or final.

I can't see them losing more then 1 game max. Just hope that 1 game they may lose is in the finals.

Indians aren't winners. That's our hope

Australia should get in the semis now that we only have the minnows to play. Good chance to give everyone a run and rest any niggles against the easy beats

Early wickets. Their top 5 is very strong but after that it’s not the greatest (Jadeja, Yadav are not a strong 6-7 compared to some other teams). England kept them to a low total but are shit with the bat. Had we caught Kholi we had them right under the pump.

if you let Sharma, Gil & Kholi last 20 overs they’ll post a mammoth total and have the best bowling attack in the tournament. Last nights game should give the other contenders a lot of confidence

Our middle over batting vs their middle overs spin bowling is a bad match up for us. I think we are relying on another team to beat them.

Probably need to keep an eye on the semis order

Assuming India are top spot, then we need to avoid 4th spot, get to 2nd or 3rd

Let kiwis (most likely?) or SA play their final v india in the semi
India v NZ (1 v 4)
Saffers v Aussies (2 v 3)

Will be the semi final lineup i reckon.

India v Australia final with India to win the Cup.

Sent one of my English mates this morning a message how is the title defence going.

He just responded with simply " We're Shit"

The end

For a tournament this long, to think India could go 9 from 9 and then be knocked out in a match vs 4th is a little odd.

Surely a better finals system would be:

1v2 (winner to final)
3v4 (elimination)

Loser of 1v2 vs winner of 3v4 (call it a prelim)

Winner of 1v2 vs winner of prelim

It's only 1 additional match
