They could be defending together this week our left side looks shakyI don't think he's mobile enough to defend at centre. Tracey may improve his reads, but Talakai isn't going to magically become more agile.

I've been like a broken record saying that since last year. With the ball he's great but he's putrid in defence and for such a strong bloke he gets brushed off fairly easily as well.I don't think he's mobile enough to defend at centre. Wow, the towering Paul Gallen.Paul Gallen > 1.79m - 104kgs
Sifa Talakai > 1.78m - 100kgs
I would be playing Sifa at 13 - Whilst, I despise seeing forwards as pivots in back line movements, I would be OK with Sifa being a ball distributor because he has soft hands.
Finucane is a Prop only.
Rudolf is a 2nd Rower only.
Sifa at Lock.
McIness at Hooker.
Agreed on all that. Hadn’t thought about Sifa lock but yeah -likey much.Finucane is a Prop only.

I have given up on BraileyMcInness starting at hooker and Brailey off the bench is the ideal model.
If you look at McInnes, he’s got some serious strapping over one of his hands, that might inhibit his passing!McInness starting at hooker and Brailey off the bench is the ideal model.

Post of the yearWe’ve been to this rodeo before. Many times. We know how it ends. A bit like the finger banging Sister Mary-Eugenie gave me at confession.
At first, it was perplexing curiosity but then, the disappointment of no tongue left me bitter and full of unbridled angst.

A little while back I wrote about how narratives can be so easily formed and yet so depressingly hard to shift. Thanks for reading Beyond the Goalpost!www.beyondthegoalpost.com
I would keep WilliamsPretty spot on.
I posted earlier about maybe some of these guys have peaked (Brails, Toby, Williams in particular).
It’s seriously time for a clean out.
I’d be letting these guys know they’re free to negotiate elsewhere:
Toby
Herb
Williams
Tracey
McInnes or Finucane
It’s time to be ruthless, free up some cash, and give this squad a shake up.
I would keep Williams
Hunt can go as well.
We need a heads up hooker, and 2 middles that make ground and intemidate
But his not, look at him defend he is lazyThat’s why I didn’t list Royce.
He’s the closest thing we have to an enforcer.
BHU is great, when he’s not injured…!That’s why I didn’t list Royce.
He’s the closest thing we have to an enforcer.
To much social media for these guys. What type of help from specialists do we have working with the club?
I would like to see us get a running coach for our forwards, we need to get more leg drive and better running styles to suit players like Hazelton, JC, Kafusi etc.
I assume we don’t use Roger Fabri anymore since xerri dramas where I think he was thrown under the bus.
Getting a NFL coach over for a stint would help massively imo.
What about getting someone like Toovey in for short stints throughout the year as a motivator come in for 2-3 weeks at a time to really blast the players at training, pre game etc let him cross that line that those who are there week in week out can’t.
Then the most important one but would hope the club already does is a sports psychologist to come in full time, we seem to have a lot of players that appear to have their heads somewhere else, confidents issues etc etc.
Also like to see the club bring in blocks of 2/3 weeks through the year where players are banned from media appearances outside of club press conferences.
No special one on one interviews, pod casts, advertising shoots, matty johns show appearances, radio commentary gigs etc etc seems like that’s all they do in their spare time it can’t be good for them.
