Inglis to Souths..

Asotasi and Crocker are both on big money and they'll make way so we can afford the Luke/Burgess/Taylor/Inglis core.

I'm not suggesting Sandow and Sutton are in the same class as Thurston, Lockyer and Cronk. Having said that, they were the halves of the 2nd best attacking team in 2010. They aren't as bad as people make them out to be. And Sandow is young and improving, he'll be better in 2011 than he was in 2010.

Sutton was brilliant in patches, Sandow was half decent occasionally but there's no consistency. You guys are improving and you must be loving that but until they can get rid of the stench of failure I'll keep thinking they've got as much chance of winning a premiership as Cronulla.

How the fu*k would you know if souffs would have resigned him you dumb merkin.

Do you have a hotline to rusty.

You know fu*k all bunniedick.

Souffs are the new Roosters.

Even with fat guts Inglis souffs will not make the top eight.

Sh*t club, losing culture.
Common f**king sense you troll. Champion is on 300k, there is no way we could afford that and resign Luke at the same time. And when the choice is between Luke and Champion, who the f**k do you think we'd go for?

i do wonder about the middle level players u will have to lose in 2/3 years to keep your core you speak of... i mean its been proven recently that having 4 great players puts you over the cap... and well over.

No point having burgess, luke, inglis and taylor if the players around them are reserve graders. but hey thats souths problem...

So, will those third party deals still stand, meaning Inglis is going to earn a sh*tload of money now?

Or does this simply mean that his base salary of $190k plus third-parties is all included under the cap with the removal of Champion from the roster?
Not all the 3rd party deals were blocked. Some of them will be outside the cap, the rest plus the 190k we had him for originally will go under the cap. And we did just drop a 300k player. We might even be able to pay Inglis more in the 1st year than the original contract had so it reduces the severity of the back ending.
Actually I have just thought about the OP question

Its easy.....the NRL just simply don't care
If they didn't care why would they give us so much trouble over Inglis's contract. While it does strike me as a little odd that Melbourne could afford Champion, there's no way they'd try to cook the books again so soon after the scandal.

I'm guessing we signed champion with every last cent we had left in the cap. And with ingli$ off our books that freed up alot of cash. I'm sure I heard earlier that we still could have kept him but I could be wrong.

wonder if Champion will kiss the storm badge too, or is that reserved for the club that shafted him?

I'm glad this is finally over. I'm sure the club let all of our players who are off contract at the end of 2011 know that their futures could not be guaranteed and that if they found a deal elsewhere to take it. Beau did that and I wish him nothing but the best.

Very happy that this has finally been sorted.

Wrapped to have Inglis at the club.

In terms of Beau, it is disappointing that he is leaving, but at least he is getting a bigger deal and a 3 year contract, playing with 3 of the best players in the game. I hope he continues to kick on from this year and makes the SOO side in the future.

Is that you Shane? That was taken straight out of Souffs patronizing play book. You kick a local juniour right out the door then shower him with plaudits and revere the bloke after after you shafted him. I had to laugh at Richardson when he said words to the affect "It was Beau's choice" Yeah tecnically it was but that was only after he was told he wasn't f**king wanted any more and he was advised to look elsewhere.

Did they actually expect him to friggin stay after that? Of course they didnt't but that was clearly their plan all along. What a disgusting piece of sh*t of a club and i can't wait until this whole fiasco comes back and bites them on the arse and you can be assured it will, the only ones that can't see it are the deluded Crows disciples

:lol::lol::lol:

Whether that is true or you are pulling it out of your arse, it is funny shyt.
The Eels were rumoured to offer 300k a year for 3 years. The Storm gave him a 3 year contract. Put 2 and 2 together.
