I hope he does well but he wont have a certain sam burgess luring defensive players in off him next year.

Positioning is the best part of his game though. But he's far from a game-turner, don't expect him to barge over the line or do a crazy manoeuvre to stay in the goal and get the ball down like like you'd see from Inglis.

Good for Souths. We managed to attract one of the best players in the world at the age of 23 to join us. Simply unimaginable 5 years ago.

And it's good for GI, despite the NRL's best efforts to make it as difficult as possible for him he is still with the game he loves. Not chasing the bigger bucks and staying with rugby league will help with his popularity amongst the general public (other than with the haters who would find something to complain about if he saved an old lady from an oncoming car).

And for the critics, we lost a good center to get a great center, so no doubt all is above board in terms of the cap.

Good on Souths if they did it legally, but it's going to cost them down the line. All this back loading of contracts will bite them hard. Burgess, Asotasi would both be on 350k each, Inglis will be partly back loaded, and Luke would've received a upgrade when re-signing.

Doesn't leave any money for a decent pair of halves.
