.the sex tape saga was just an extension of the real problem. His commitment in banking entirely in the local guys coming up through " the system" ( with totally noble intent ) was perilous as very ypung over praised inflated egos ...on and off the field come with the raw talent.....building success solely around the junior base is a utopian dream that anyone would love but it's a fine line between idealism and naivete. ...even for Gus.

That's right Panfa - he's had enough time to tweak the coaching staff, there are no scapegoats. Ivan should be considering his role.

Yeah, such a wasted opportunity. I know this could never happen, simply a dream but Brandy as CEO, Gus as coach. If not Gus, maybe someone with passion like Toovey.

Regardless, this can't play out for 5 years - it will destroy the club.

Yeah of course, it's probably impossible. On the other hand, how much will it cost the club by keeping these inadequate individuals. The club will lose money with membership, sponsorship, tickets at the gate, merchandise etc. for 5 years - that will really hurt over the long term. Why put everyone through this misery for half a decade & destroy the club financially? Fans won't support it.

They should acknowledge it was a mistake & change direction quick. No shame in admitting they were wrong, they would probably gain more respect.

Make Ciraldo the coach, he's already on the books, and make Dave's mate chief boot polisher. If Dave and his mate are unhappy with it, they can voluntarily leave. I'll open the door for them both. Easy.

Its a bigger issue than just the NRL team and its bigger than Cleary in my opinion. Ill admit I am anit Gould, but it was so Gould to say, I could of got Bennett when he was getting the boot. I have my doubts that it was actually true.

Back to my original comment, look at your junior reps, Matts came 6th and SG Ball 9th thats such a fall from grace when Penrith were usually a powerhouse. With U20s and NSW cup doing well it makes you think its something recent. Also think about the bullet you dodged with Bennett, if he had come your juniors would even be worse, he completely ruins pathway systems

If there's enough concern & protest from fans maybe something can happen. The media will start to really focus on Ivan shortly, there's nowhere for him to hide.

Gus destroyed the club? That is just an illogical thing to say. We have had success all through the grades, made the semi finals 4 out of 5 years. Why do you say such a damming thing about somebody who has done more for the club than just about anybody in its history? We all know who decided to bring Dave's mate back, and his surname wasn't Gould.
