“Where were they 20 years ago when the place was broke and $100 million in debt and couldn’t afford the bills?’’ he said.

“No one cared but you lose a few football games and everybody wants to cut the head off a snake. I don’t get it.”

He thinks because he can run leagues club finances that he knows who should coach the bloody football club. Its absolute insanity.

I am really worried we are going to plunge back into the 2011-13 years...

I thinkaddressing the deficiencies in our roster shouldn’t be too difficult. Hopefully James Maloney wants to extend his career by going to the ESL, release two or three others who are contracted beyond next season should free up sufficient funds for some targeted astute signings. We have a good crop of youngsters so hopefully one or two of them will develop into top players. Our problems which are cleary more difficult to address are in the coaching department and Chairman of the Board who has made decisions which he had no right to make while at the same time being totally incompetent for such a position.

In my view the team we've got right now should be capable of winning 50% of games. Ivan is probably planning to boot some contracted players anyway, but that probably means we'll be paying their freight, which isn't all that astute.

The narrative that they didn't bring him back for Nathan makes it even worse, in my opinion because (1) we already sacked Ivan once, (2) he was contracted with another club, and (3) he has a sub 48% record. So of all the possible coaches out there to sign away 5 years to, we chose one that was already contracted, that we had already let go for poor results, and that doesn't have a winning record. At least the Nathan makes some sort of sense, though that was a dumb idea as well. f**k me, what a stupid club.

Reckon that's a lie too though.

Fletcher, though, was reluctant to discuss the possibility some players could be moved on before their contracts expire to reinvigorate the playing roster.
“That’s not my call. That’s up to Ivan and the coaches to discuss,” he said.

Could this include Nathan? Forget about whether you think Nathan is playing well enough, or will develop into an elite halfback or shouldn't be let go so early in his contract.

The answer to that question is no. We all know it. There's no world in which Ivan identifies his son as the problem. That's a huge issue with no hope of resolution.

When there's one who's form will never be scrutinised you better hope he's playing like JT. If not there'll be instability across the squad. I wonder if the current instability is more than a coincidence.

Also, can Dave spare me the "we're trying so hard" rhetoric.

Bad enough we're playing like a team full of Darius Boyds, no need to start talking like him too.

Both are liars and they’re under pressure.

The fans are not fooled. I welcome the day they fall on their swords
That is a big call to say somebody are liars when you don’t have any evidence to show that.
Do you have any? Or just your opinion?

I am back. Ive been banned since preseason FYI, I haven't been avoiding the place. I wish I was still banned tbh.

Pretty obvious whatever coaching ability I thought Ivan possessed was extremely overrated. I think he is the main blame for our season so far. The team has not looked fit all season long. He went soft on them and when competition started they weren't ready. Add in the lack of fitness to our already existing discipline and handling issues and Ivans lack of attack and you have a recipe for the wooden spoon.

Ivan has created a complacent team, no one is worried about losing their spots. Nathan Cleary literally said after the game on Friday that "we have let our standards drop on the training paddock" that's on the coach for sure.

Our back 3(Edwards,Mansour and Dallin) all should've been dropped this season on form, Edwards should've been gone after the storm game but we took the soft option and played him on the wing v the titans and he comes up with a one on one miss to lose us that game. Mansour and Dallin have also had numerous droppable games this season.Shit I love JFH hes been our best forward but I would've dropped him for the penalty against Canberra.

This prick coach needs to start taking the losses personally.

And you know he is a liar how?
And you know he's not a liar how?
Just read the article and apply some critical thought around what has happened the past few months.

If that doesn't spell it out for you, how about that he and Fletcher are singing from different hymn sheets.

Dave is busy looking after Dave.

Well the options are that one of them is lying, both are grossly incompetent or all of the above.

In no way does it look good.

Our salary cap is already there and we're locked in to Ivan for 5 years. I think we're going to be worse off on the field. No one is accountable anymore.

The $ side of things will take a hit. That will get them taking notice..

Spooners don't get FTA coverage as such sponsors sign for less. I won't re-sign as member without drastic changes I am sure others will be the same. 2 years of that they will take not

Gus saved the club - myth.

Gus was the smartest there - truth - and mind you it would be true wherever Gus landed.

"Dave and our zombie coach need to acknowledge its there (sic) fault" - yes they need to acknowledge their contribution but it is not solely their fault. There are many contributing factors - some of those contributing factors were created by the man who is smarter than them all.

"They should do the right thing and walk" - possibly Dave should step down for crossing the line as Chairman by recruiting the coach without any consultation.

"or be run out of town" - a lynch mob approach is counter-productive it does UNLESS it has been shown there has been illegalities - there should be an investigation into the ENTIRE operations of Panthers to see just what is happening - and has happened - at all levels of the club.

How is it a myth? Can you elaborate on this?

Apologies for my grammatical error - I was drunk & upset when reflecting on the team I follow slugging it out for the spoon. Thank you for your careful & considerate correction.

Yes, Dave should walk, it's obvious Ivan is vacuous - he was last time & that has not changed.

I wouldn't use the term "lynch mob", maybe just politely asked to leave, asked to return the office key, take his parking permit, hand back the credit card, withdraw dry cleaning services, return the company car, refuse entry to the box - you know what I mean.

"Investigation into the ENTIRE operations":
- Ivan & Nathan got paid way too much
- Dave blew it by employing Ivan
- Gus got squeezed out after saving the club
- Ivan is not quite an NRL coach (refer to statistics)
End of investigation
