Opinion Is Ricky Stuart the most overrated coach ever?

He has had a good best 17 the entire time so not winning a comp is a failure imo.

If Bennett or Bellamy had Stuarts 17 they would have certainly made the finals every year and won a comp.

He's still the Raiders most successful coach since Tim Sheens unfortunately and with clubs like the Knights, Titans, Warriors and Tigers going through coaches like underwear I doubt Raiders management want to be stuck in that cycle so Sticky will be safe for at least another 2 seasons.

Context matters. The only reason he brought up the childhood drama was because of what just happened. If the bloke played like a gentleman the past stuff wouldn't have been mentioned. The point was it is a character issue and not a one off.

Although it didn't come without some sucking up to Sticky and mentioning how his own kids knew salmon at the time and he was a "problem child". The operative word there being child as opposed to the alleged "adult" in sticky.

It actually indicates some pretty significant mental health and regulation issues that sticky would a) confront an 11 year old child at the time by his own admission and b) hold a grudge for over a decade to the point he uses his platform as a head coach to personally insult the bloke.
