If the JV dissolves, that’s okay, we can carry on under the one club banner as the Illawarra faction have the cash.

Back to the future Possm- it's ironic that the Soccer Venture proposing effectively a combined St George, Sutherland and Illawarra team is meeting with fierce resistance from the Illawarra who want their own team (they had a State League team I believe called the Wollongong Wolves). I"d like a new Dragons consortium in the future to buy out the Sharks, get rid of Illawarra and let us to go back to the formula that delivered the first 15 of our 16 premierships. No more hikes down Mt Ousley!!

Muzby, our so-called dominant financial partner will be insolvent long before the name St.George dies.

You are assuming that the result of any dissolution of the JV will be the formation of the WIN Illawarra Dragons.

Better, more dominant companies than WIN have disintegrated in the past.

Let us hope the JV continues for many many years. If the JV survives long term, it will be because of the TV deals struck by the NRL, and not because of WIN.

If the JV between St George and Illawarra dissolves, I can't see either JV participant maintaining a presence in the NRL.

In which case I would happily go watch St George in the ISP if, in fact, they were able to field a team in that competition.

The name of St George has been in multi-disciplinarian legends for over 1,700 years.. I have no doubt his name will continue for just as many years into the future..

Nobody in their right mind would expect a TV corporation to last that long.

Because someone else will buy Cronulla. Just imagine 3 leagues clubs, 3 junior competitions and the capital to finish the huge investment made by the Sharks in the property deals.

The Dragons would be a super club with no club coming close to it's awesome financial capacity and recruitment/pathways power. Our 3 ISP teams St George, Cronulla and Illawarra playing at their home grounds on a regular basis and being feeder teams to the Mighty Dragons.

From an NRL perspective St George will be preserved. Too much history and a large national and off shore fan base. NRL would be crazy to desolve.

Like I have emphasized on many occasions ! I find it difficult to grasp on the silence of St George/illawarra management in regards to St George Dragons History being desolved by NRL
saying we have only one a single premiership. St George continues today, we were not dissolved or replaced. Why doesn't Dragons management show some balls in this area as this is our proud heritage club coming up to its 100th Year 2021 !!!

Agree that their fans are particularly boof headed- However, it seems that brains aren't necessarily a prerequisite for money as there are a lot of well- heeled nouveaux riches down here-I live among them- Some of them have landed on the Sharks board- and want to continue bailing their self destructive club out.
