2 premiership contenders, went to golden point, someone was going to lose and it happened to be us. Last year it was them.
Injuries effected both teams and losing Lume, Penisini & Waqa injured in a 10min spell was also pretty costly for us and our rotation plans.

I agree totally Munster got away with murder last night. When they had the ball the tackled player either moved forward (over the mark) or put the ball on the ground before rising to play it. The first try Melbourne scored resulted after the player who played the ball moved forward which disrupted the defensive line.

We need to learn to recognise that the ref is allowing shit and adapt.

Our possession based game is sometimes a bit too penalty averse, we can't complain if we aren't pushing the envelope and getting pinged for it.

He wasn't shit. For the most part he was pretty good. I can understand why he didn't give it to Moses. Moses has never nailed a penalty goal, conversion or field goal when the game is on the line. He's watched him miss these for the last 7 years.
Also on Moses first field goal attempt. Either the Storm were way offside (very likely) but why wasn't Moses deeper? We were only from memory 20m out anyway.
Regardless if Storm were offside, we were never getting a penalty from Klein. That bloke wouldn't give away his headache.
On reflection the better team won

Moses seriously needs to vary his kicking game.
He is a one trick pony generally when we are coming out of our own half.
Every kick is one of those high, long bombs which in this day and age most teams handle easily.
Add our appalling kick-chase to that and it was no wonder we were starting every defensive set on the back foot.
I'd like to see him mix it up and at least kick long, low and hard to the corners.
Make the opposition wingers and fullback work hard to get out of their own 20.
And yes, we need to chase harder.

Maybe that's the coach's orders.
