 at Luke Williamson being the best utility in the game.. I think Casey McGuire adequately takes that honour.

he's up there but not as great as Wing, Widders isn't bad either.

I don't see how you can call a club "Pretenders" after only 2 defeats out of 8 games. I seem to recall in 2003 we had 8 wins in a row and people were starting to wonder when the wheels would fall off and at the hands of who. Our winning streak ended when Melbourne beat us 32-12 in Round 14. I'll never forget the: "Penrith are pretenders" threads and suggestions to that effect in the media as well, after that single game. Then we turned around and won the Minor Premiership and Premiership!

Write Manly off at your own foolishness and peril!

C Eagle watch, Manly has rep players of their own Menzies, BK, Monas(ok he hasn't played it yet but he will). Tezza and Stephenson brilliant, Williamson the best utility in the game, Hicks can't say enough about him. Manly will be back ontop just you wait, let me remind you that we beat the Raiders.

Monaghan will only ever play city v country, if the likes of Orford are injured. Hicks is fast, but average 90% of the time. Stephenson is nothing special, Williamson best utility in the game  , Casey McGuire isn't the best utility in the game and he so much better than williamson. As for Hill, the Broncos showed last night he should have stayed retired.

In saying all that, I will not write manly off just yet from the top 4. How they respond over the next 3 or 4 weeks will dictate if they really are top 4 contenders or not. Do I think they can win the title, nope they don't have the fireposer when compared to the big sides.

What position can Widders player other than second row?

Their fullback had a shocker.
He may be a good player but every team in the NRL will bomb him now.

I've never seen him drop a bomb before and he's gotten plenty of working over, it was just one of those nights for the kid. He may get bombed alot in future but that doesn't mean he wont gobble them up when he's on.

True about Widders, second row is pretty much it.

On Wing, I think he is seen as a hooker now. He has been ordinary unless at hooker this year. He has been played in the halves, but was crap till moved to hooker.

McGuire is better as a utility that both Wing and widders the second rower.

Hopefully its another 7 years before Manly are on FNF.Hassler tries to make up for there lack of quality by employing every dirty trick in the book. They are a f***ing rabble.

It was never in doubt the Broncos would punish these merkins.

The Bulldogs are the next victims.

Peace.

Stiff Sh!t. Manly are back on FTF against the Eels in 2 weeks.

considering you wanted to know where i was
well at 9:50 i was still making my way back from the game and i didnt get on the pc when i got home because i actually have a life besides Footy and Forums and was out with a lovely female friend of mine.

Thanks for the concern.

As for the footbal
its kind of nice to think manly have a shit night and brisbane get us 38-12 however what would happen if souths or the dogs had a shit night against brisbane?????

It was a big learning experience for manly i wouldnt expect to see Brett Stewart have a game like that again soon.

How many of those 7 players that lined up for the photo in the telegraph actually played themselves OUT of a rep team last night..that fullback is a joke  Kennedy was the only one who could be selected..and thats on past reputation after that game

Do not under any circumstances ride them off yes Manly have had 2 big losses but we've also had 5 wins and are equal top of the table, Parramatta 4 wins and 3 losses 1 of them bigger than the ones Manly has suffered. How could Manly get into the game with the ball they had, no team could ok Melbourne maybe but only that's because of Slater. Don't ride Manly off when the team you really should be riding off is Newcastle the only reason they have points is because of a Bye and they're ready for the spoon.

he has slotted in at five-eight, centre, lock and hooker at some stage in his time here.

If they could have hung on to the ball they would have made a game out of it.

against a team that makes you pay for every little mistake including mistackles I don't think so. This is rich coming from an Eels supporter, didn't they lose by 40 points against the Broncos?

Eh, hooker, centre?

Lock and Second row are basically identical positions in the modern game.
