Fans First did exactly what I wanted it to do and that was to encourage other candidates to have to consider the fans when forming policies before the election. Both major parties adopted a pro Parra Stadium policy for instance which was in complete contrast to the pro ANZ stadium stance of the incumbents previously and the fact that it was an issue not even mentioned by Parra First until I made both sides aware of what the fans thoughts on it were.
I'm stoked that I contributed towards making our current board put more of an effort into considering the fans and I haven't even had to sit in a single board meeting.
I have since enjoyed surfing everyday but also still seeing things like more staff appointed to serve our members and the appointment of a fan liason officer.
If it was about me getting on the board rather than just making everyone aware of certain issues, I would have tried harder to be nicer to everyone for a start - even morons like you. I'm fully aware that the way to get elected is to be popular but that's not how I roll.

The Parramatta Leagues Club Board of Directors continue to be disappointed with inaccurate material posted on the 1 EyedEel Website.

It should be noted that member Mr Phil Sim was cited by the Parramatta Leagues Club Board of Directors for conduct unbecoming a member. This process is confidential, principally to protect his interest as a member. That confidence has not been honoured in circumstances where the process is still in train and not completed.

The assertion that the disciplinary proceedings prevent Phil from standing in upcoming elections is both false and misleading. Phil has only been a member of the Parramatta Leagues Club since November 2011, therefore under the Club’s constitution clause 27 (b) he is ineligible to participate in the election as a candidate, attend the AGM or vote. Sadly, this is yet another example of content on this website and otherwise placed in the public domain designed to undermine members' confidence in the Club.

The Parramatta Leagues Club Board of Directors appreciates that such websites are a facility to enable people to express their views. However, the fact that a member of the Club, who owns and maintains the website, is not prepared to ensure the website is used to publish fair comment and not used to publish false, misleading and defamatory comment remains a matter of concern.

Yeah I suppose so. I didn't think it was worth worrying about, it was both funny and true. You see satirical stuff like this all the time in the papers etc.

Well that's the thing, it probably isn't a big deal and I'm sure they'd rather be focussing on other areas which they probably are, but there is also a group of fans who find this more important than the team itself but that's their perogotative.

are you only allowed to participate in an AGM as a current financial year member? just wondering if you have not renewed are you still able to attend the AGM?

You have to show your membership card at the door for both LC & FC AGMs I think, so you would need to be paid up

He wasn't even a director when that picture was posted, he was a candidate only just like me. The question isn't how it affects Phil's ability to run in the current election but rather the next one.
