Sounds like Gidley! His got to be the worst fullback to play for NSW... Continually makes mistakes (Last year was littered with them and the last try last night), YET he gets picked in front of a number of fullback which include Hayne - JOKE!

Mark Hughes was the worst fullback to play for NSW

He has ability, and he has a lot of potential. But he's not at Origin level just yet IMO.

Having said that, I can totally see why they brought him on - NSW's "forwards" were being sodomised, and we needed some grunt to help us getting going forward. No point playing Idris in the back-row at this early stage of his career, but I can see why they thought it might be a good idea to get him on the field and get him one-on-one with smaller opponents (and, let's face it - most of his opponents would be smaller than him).

Idris' defence was horrible, but I still say the "forwards" (bar one or maybe two) should hang their heads in collective shame.

If you have a sodomy fetish, forget Internet porn - watch NSW's pack play.

They brought him on cause Cooper got injured... who knows what they were going to do with him if that didn't happen.

Then he came up with a shocking read on Inglis and he went in. Could see it all coming really

4 on 2. Shocking read belonged also to Hayne and Lyon

It is amazing how some people skew fact and even footage to suit an agenda. Yes he was picked before his time. He wasn't that bad though.

So you serioously think his defense is up to Origin? The play they used was set up for Idris, he rushes out of the line.

No. I don't think he is up to Origin Standard yet. I have been clear on that.

That try was not his fault though.

QLD had the numbers. Last person you want holding the ball when they have a number advantage is Thurston. He played it to perfection.

Thurston did play it to perfection, he targeted Idris.

Boyd's try was simply due to the fact that Hayne ran in when he was not needed...

Idris and Hayne's defence was absolutely horrible... But that is the same as their club form anyway!

What are you talking about, why would I have an agenda against Idris?

You're the one that has an agenda obviously, because he plays for the Bulldogs. My grandma could tell you that it was Idris that misread the situation.

Have a look at this

Hayne's back (way too far back for the 4th) but for Idris there, Inglis is clearly his man.

Lewis? - Thurston
Lyon - Taylor
Idris - Inglis

If Thurston was to throw a massive cut out pass there because Idris had Inglis covered then so be it, because Hayne wasn't there. But in that situation Idris didn't make Thurston have to do the big play, he gave him a simple cut out ball.

And before you're going to say that Lewis didn't have Thurston covered, here's the next shot that shows that he clearly did.

That pretty much proves that QLD simply had the numbers.

A short ball to Taylor would have seen the same result if Idris had gone for GI.

So the lack of tackling from the entire outside line is solely Idris' fault?

It was Idris' job to mark Inglis.
He saw Taylor (who was marked by Lyon) and came out of the line to put on a shot. It was mindless and undisciplined play. You learn not to come out of the line in high school. You learn to count off your man. But let me guess... that's his excuse is it? He's only young and he'll learn?
Well then that should also be the reason he shouldn't have been out there.

I'm just talking about that play. No one even made a tackle on that play, because Idris didn't put himself in a position to make one on the man he was marking.
