Souths looks like the winners of Roberts signature.. Pending 3rd party desk which should Bon brainer w packer on board..,

Rabbitohs strong indigenous ties would have helped..

If it comes off Souths move to top 2 favourite for comp for 2016 IMO

I hope you're not basing that on the Mole's tweets. As others have said, he is the specialist at hedging his bets. As far as the media goes, this saga reminds me of Cooper Cronk a few years back. Everyone had him as going to about 6 different clubs & then he ended up staying. Obviously that won't happen here, but there might be a surprise finish to this one yet.

It has gone on far longer than it should have, but it might force the NRL to implement an official trading window or two. One in June & one in November (starting in 2016 or 2017 at the latest)

Not much between us this year Rabbits20, both somewhere in the 8, luck and injuries to a few sides might determine where...Would you like to swap Benji for Reynolds??? He might provide that bit of unpredictability you guys need.
P.s. you can have a very knowledgeable Russian supporter thrown in for free!

Swap Benji for Reynolds, nope not a chance I'd do that.

Who's the russian mate???

Looking at this article and some of the quotes from the uncle, it looks like there's no decision as yet. They just met with the Rabbitohs today.

But I keep hearing we're improving...

""I've now provided James a greater valuation of the three clubs," Donovan said. "We're not looking at it from just a financial point of view. A large part of the valuation is the culture, the coaches and their vision going forward for James. That's what he wants to [base his] decision [on]."

And I'm vilified for correctly pointing out the status of this club.

So that means when he goes to the Broncos, the rabbits and c**ks are just as bad as us because he didnt go there either?

No, it means that we offer more money and his preferred position yet still fall short.

If you don't see a problem with that then you're even more dopey than I first realised.

Only the most imbecilic really believe he will go somewhere for less because that's what the media are telling them to believe.

St George are reported to be going to really step up their bid for Roberts in the next couple of days as Bird is staying at Cronulla.

You guys can still get Roberts.

Explain it whichever way you like. But we're not competing, d#*khead.

I'm not sure what you want. The reality is that there are 16 teams in the comp and only one can win, so by your way of thinking that leaves supporters of 15 clubs each year claiming season failures. 50% of clubs each year don't make semi finals. Clubs go through cycles of good times and times where they struggle. If you're comparing us to:-

Roosters - Wooden spooners in 09
Dogs- Wooden spooners in 08
Souths - They've really only had the last few seasons where they've been matching it with the best.
Broncos - They went through a lull after Bennett left.

The reality is we went through a good patch from 09 - 11 and then went through a rough period. We're now making steps forward and every team at the beginning of every season starts on the same amount of points.

I can't believe Bird will sign with a club that will never win a comp, super coach Jack Gibson says so!

I think it's time homies stopped giving a f**k. Yes, I know he would be a good signing but if the homies are still holding out..... Lenin said:
To the socialist it is not the horrors of war that are the hardest to endure ... but the horrors of the treachery.

Aitken and Matautai both started to come good at the end of last season. Together with Lafai, Milne, Mann and a several Dragons juniors coming through, perhaps Roberts wouldn't have been such a great signing after all.

Roberts is a level above our entire backline, bar Dugan.

This is getting really confusing but at the same time interesting.. The NRL has come and said they want register a James Roberts contract for anything less than $300k a season w TPA on top.. So u would think Broncos are out at this stage unless they offload 1-2 players quick smart.

Souths have no chance in hell of offering $300k as they were just under the cap when they got rid of walker to sign Burgess - so unless they offload 1-2 players they must be questioned by the NRL if they do eventually sign Roberts.

On the other hand Dragons only team w. Concrete formal offer of $400k a season plus the Fullback spot..

You have to wonder does he end up at the dragons on default....read on
