I do get excited about a spine of

1. Edwards
6. Luai
7. Cleary
9. Katoa/Egan

That at it's potential is pretty fantastic.

Cleary remined me of a younger Pearce. I wouldnt be throwing 1 million at him.
Maloney is miles above at moment.

Probably aren't that many half backs in the NRL who aren't on close to or more than 1 million that is just the going rate and more than a few are not as good as Cleary who is only going to get better.

True. Norman and Moses would be on 750-800. Cleary is more solid.

If he can play like that every week he's another Ponga.

That is the if. He hasn't played anywhere near that level since a Semi v Warriors last year. I hope he gets more chances this year to better judge if he can do it regularly

Maloney explained the reason he asked for Peachey there was to straighten the attack up with his running game. Jarome is nicknamed Romey because he's a halfback that loves to roam across field like DCE.

Maloney is experienced enough to know what works for him as a player/ Gee folks need to calm down the 'blame game' which seems to be so much in vogue.

So is James on the coaching staff now?
There was once a coach named George Piggins who was asked by a reporter something along the lines of "you're listening a lot to that player Phil Gould." And he replied "I'd listen to the devil if it wins me a premiership." Whatever works.

There was all this talk in the media a few months ago about who's coaching the team but we were winning at the time so most fans didn't care at all. It really doesn't matter as long as we're going well.

It'd pretty stupid to ignore a player as experienced as Maloney and we won games.

Maloney hasn't won so many games with his speed and power. Players like him are successful because they're very smart when it comes to footy. Even in general you can see it in his interviews, he's pretty sharp.
The exemption being is when James opened his mouth to reveal the Gus is trying to arrange his third party deals. That was stupid on his part.

Im not sure I've ever seen Peach run straight.

What Jimmy actully did was publicly back his coaches call
