NFL Rumors: Jarryd Hayne to Dallas Cowboys in 2016?

It appeared former rugby star Jarryd Hayne playing in the NFL would become one of the best stories of the year, but his lack of experience forced San Francisco to remove the 27-year-old from the active roster.
The move wasn't popular as the kick return specialist showed terrific speed and strength in the preseason, but that failed to carry that over into the regular season and eventually led to his release. The 49ers resigned the former Parramatta Eels star to the practice squad and it appears now that it was the best move for both he and the team.
Hayne has used his time to learn the offense and the game. He recently told reporters that his confidence level is high and he fully expects to play in the league next year, but reports have surfaced on other teams that could have interest, including the Dallas Cowboys, who have had issues with their special teams and injuries at running back.
Playing on the practice squad, any team at any time can claim the Australian. Many expected Detroit to take a gamble, especially with the interest the Lions showed during the off-season, but the team is looking for long-term answers and will likely get the players they need through the NFL draft in April.
With the season almost finished and it unlikely San Francisco will activate the rookie running back/kick returner, making the most of his current situation could salvage his dream of playing professional football.
Hayne is using his time wisely, getting lots of reps against the first team defense, spending quality hours in the film room and continuing his strength training, but eventually he will need to perform on the field and show general managers all across the league he's worth signing.

Media will be back in overdrive this week with 'Will Hayne play' stories. Draugh has done a knee.

How many RB's are left in the organisation?

Full house ... they're all wearing their red #38 jerseys

Good point.

I like those grounds that are built knowing that if they will get no merkin to go, it still kinda looks full.

Like the Gabba. If look through squinted eyes it looks like the stadium is chockers. Very considerate IMHO.

The Gabba is the perfect example of over compensation for poor crowds.

Rumour are going round that the Debartolo/York family are considering selling the 49ers team.

Hope it happens. Jed York doesn't know how to run a sporting organisation.
