Kornstar, I am guessing Korn is your favourite band. What do you think of Brian and Reggie becoming full on followers of Christ?

Did you see where both of them and Todd White went out to meet the crowd before a Korn concert and preached and prayed to the crowd?

Proverbs 31:6-7 were written for Eels fans

Let beer be for those who are perishing,
wine for those who are in anguish!
Let them drink and forget their poverty
and remember their misery no more.

Also Psalm 104:15 God made wine that gladdens human hearts

It's not as good as a Premiership but it helps. Oh and screw Hayne! I always knew he would succeed but it doesn't change the fact that he had no integrity when he walked out on his contract with us.

Matthew 5:33
“Again you have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not swear falsely, but shall perform to the Lord what you have sworn.’

1 John 2:5
But whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in him:

of course you aren't alone - all us other merkins are posting on this forum ffs

How do you know it isn't just you, and 100 different accounts operated by Casper and PouPou??

In fact, are they the same person? And how do you know you aren't one of Casper's alter egos?

So maybe it is just Casper or Pou as the single entity, and they, in fact, are all alone.

Firstly, there's no reason to call God "he". All that shows is you have been culturally indoctrinated and hints that any response you have to God is nothing more than a response to cultural indoctrination and thus not relevant when discussing what the truth might be.

So, basically, you're one of the people who confuses God with religion, and rebels against it so that you can show how anti-establishment you are.

But, as the use of "he" has demonstrated, the people you rebel against still control the way you think, so you can't even succeed at that.

***

Secondly, there is no reason to suppose that is true. I see no evidence of even selective intervention.

Yet again, your statement hints at bitterness, thus illustrating your underlying reasons for taking the position you have.

Well, that has to be the stupidest thing ever written. Even stupider than Gronk's tripe.

Whether you believe or not, if it IS true then it will affect you, whether you like it or not.

All this statement shows is that you have no interest in The Truth, whatever that is. You have just shown yourself to be the typical, self-centred atheist - someone who doesn't want there to be a God, because then they're not the centre of the universe.

Hypocrisy much ? How can you talk about evidence when the subject is about your imaginary friend ?

Back to the topic of Hayne:
% chance of him playing in a pro bowl (not necessarily this season, just at some stage of his career).

I'm going to say he plays pro-bowl for sure. My head says 'no way, it is way too hard for him to climb that mountain' - but if I'm honest, I didn't think he would make a roster in the short time he has had so far. So I'll doubt my doubting, and say he will for sure play pro bowl.

Add another person to the list of "People have no idea what a contract is"

Please tell me oh wise one how it affects me right now whether there is or is not a god or afterlife? Not thinking/caring is up to me. I don't need there to be any type of higher being to be alive and influence my life.

The truth? Please tell me the truth then, I'd love to know it and you are obviously the one to tell us all.

I don't actually care if there is or isn't a god, I am pretty sure I have a choice what I believe in and based on the evidence presented to me I have no reason to believe otherwise.

I am very happy for them. Brian would be dead if he didn't find god and leave Korn. He is way too gifted to be another dead musician. Fieldy was (and still is but better these days) a douche of epic proportions so if it has made at least a little bit better of a person then that is a good thing.

While if they came out and met the crowd while I was there I certainly wouldn't be involved in the prayer, I don't see any issues with it. We live in a shit world and if religion and prayer get you through day to day life, more power to you.

I still don't understand why religious people s**t on people for expressing an anti-religion or anti-god opinion, but expect to be treated with acceptance for their faith? like one is better than the other.

Then there's HJ, who just likes to argue cause he's a troll. Nothing more. I could say that I bought bread at my corner shop for $2 and he'd tell me I was wrong. Merkin.

My personal belief is that no one has it right, no religion has it figured out correctly yet, and those of us who choose not to believe aren't right either, because it is impossible to know for sure. you can BELIEVE something is right all you like, but believing and knowing for sure are two very very different things.

I think for the most part beleif itself makes no difference. Not many would change anything anyway. Example consider if the bible was historically true, Jesus Christ the Son of God, who lived and died for you. Would you change anything?
