I thought it was pretty obvious that we have nothing too offer him until we piss someone out of the squad.

We have 28 players in a squad that includes only one recognised hooker, that is severely injury prone. As a result, position 29 in the squad will have to be a hooker (99% chance this will be Mahoney).

We dont have to complete position 30 in the squad until 30 June. To be honest, every club would be silly to fill position 30 in a squad in the middle of November.

As a result, until someone in that 28 f**ks off, it's hard to see The Plane getting a gig, irrespective of the amount we've got left in the Cap.

I completely disagree, along with a large number of hard working Australians. I'm not sure why you would want to shit on them in the way that you are. What did they ever do to you @T-Boon?

So who would you have not signed or not upgraded so you can sign Hayne for $700k. Keep in mind that the dozen or more players that are signed until the end if 2019 all inked their deals whilst Hayne was at the GC after a robust 2016 and big 2017.

Firsttly, I dont think anyone knows he wanted $700K. Probably Pritchard and that fellow from the Qld cup. That would about do it. Pritchard will probably only play about six games next year anyway.

Maybe the clubs gone mid season....Haynes been injured and done nothing lets sign Ferguson. Maybe BA is happy with Bevan,Gutherson or Norman at fullback.
He is the coach. Maybe the club took the risk with Hayne not caring if didnt keep him. Thinking they may move someone on but if not then no big deal.

So you think Pritchard / Davey are on more (or slightly more) then the minimum? If wouldn’t make any difference if we didn’t sign them in regards to signing Hayne as we wouId still need 2 more players in the squad.

Gutherson he would of know was going to take time to get fit after doing knee.
French never stood a chance behind the pack and his 2 games at fullback at mid season point where not much to judge off.
