It still doesn't mean he wouldn't of been kept had we known hayne was going to quit earlier on in season.

What!? it means Loko was never going to be with us any longer. Hayne or no Hayne wouldn't have met Loko would have improved his attitude.
A move of club surely hasn't.

Sio shits on Toutai and should have been kept imo

even more so now since Hayne decided to just piss off

Sio's not a fullback, and Toutai isn't necessarily going to play on our right wing. Anyway, Toutai was picked over Sio a few times this year. Toutai has a lot more potential than him.

The difference between Sio and Touati was the money

Not their ability or skill set

Hence why they selected Toutai

If it went for the best person for the role based on skills, fitness, etc. Sio wins hands down.

so by that reckoning Sio would have been kept if we knew Hayne was going to free up a lot of cap space

that was before Hayne pissed off

who knows if he would have been let go if we knew earlier

but then again everyone knew anyway

Sio was offered quite a good offer as well from overseas....

Keep believing the DT articles you are reading

I watched a bit of NFL on the weekend. Also watched Revenge of the Nerds with my daughter.

Jarryd doesn't get up quick after a heavy knock and I'm worried that he'll get bullied in the change rooms.

My point was if we were looking at offloading guys we may have had cap pressure to squeeze in watmough, but if the club knew Hayne was going like has been stated by a few on here why the need to offload guys as late as the week before Haynes announcement???

There are a few things. Firstly I'm still unaware of anyone being told to look elsewhere. It was simply a case of being willing to release players if they desired, which makes sense because they can be replaced by cheaper, which allows a better salary cap balance moving forward. It's unrelated to the Hayne situation. It's more about balance across the whole squad. Allgood particularly would be on first grade money to play for Wenty. Why wouldn't we look to alleviate the cap pressure from players like that?

Sio was never staying.

They wanted him to take a $70k paycut

Dogs and Souths came in too late after he agreed to go to Super League.

Sio over vai. It ain't even a fair comparison.

It's a very fair comparison. Toutai started the year in first grade with Sio at Wenty so they're a lot closer than you think. After another off season Toutai should be even better.

He's as fast as Sio and much stronger. He just needs to work on his technical skills, just as Sio did.

Of course they wanted him to take a pay cut, our cap was full. That's the whole point regarding hayne.:crazy:
