Is anyone else able to confirm that nothing was said on ST?

Why, you think I'm here to create trouble?

Sorry azza, I never doubted you for a minute. My line of thinking was that if it had been said there, more than one person would have mentioned it here, and the fact that our new member was the only one that claimed to hear it was only serving to confirm my opinion of him.

Posting blatantly fake news isn't looked kindly upon here (remember the Phil Graham story).

I believe the credibility of the Raiders just took a direct hit. Butterfield's initial comment on ST was that Bulgarelli will be reinstated, he made it quite clear that the grounds for dismissal were unjust and that the club did not go through the proper process. He also said that they will be using the Bulgarelli case as a 'test case' as never before has anything like this happened and they want to be sure that it doesn't happen again. Butterfield went on to talk about how Bulgarelli's character has been tainted, not to mention future career prospects and the strain that it has caused for his family. He suggested that the whole thing requires some sanity from the club and he's hoping that tomorrow the club will rectify the problem and act on reinstating Bulgarelli. I know this is hard for you all but it appears my predictions are unfolding even sooner than I thought. The Raiders, I suspect will sack some of their admin staff as a way to get out of this mess, but in my opinion they have done this deliberately to get out of paying Bulgarelli. Of course they will never admit that, but according to the police reports there was never any grounds to link the parcel to Jason in the first place, therefore, the sacking was always unjustified.

Future career prospects?   Even for a moment assuming that this whole story hadn't come about, who would have been lining up to sign him when he came off contract? The roosters? Perhaps the bulldogs? Brisbane?

Once again, could you please provide a source for your allegations, rather than making broad statements. It isn't common practice for the police to release their conclusions whilst the investigation is still in progress.

I think Butterfield would know what he's talking about when it comes to the damage that an episode like this can cause. As for his future career prospects did you know there are plenty of careers out there other than football?

Im undecided on this mess, on the one hand, I reckon Management are morons and the club does have big problems but on the other hand I cant imagine they would be as stupid as to set Bulgarelli up.

geraldo if you want to fire up against me then fine... but to call me 'thickhead'... ouch, i'm hurting here #-o

I agree Boogs should be given the presumption of innocence. But clearly something has happened to fire up this whole incident. Ecstasy turned up at the club FFS! Something is not quite right here. The fact that Boogs is attached to the issue may be a case of mistaken identity, but my problem is that it drags the name of the club through the mud. It's like the Bulldogs scenario, tags that get stuck on teams don't get dropped easily... I for one dont want the 'drug controversy' issue hanging over the club.

Extremely angry, saddened and disappointed by the whole thing.

Let's, for a moment, focus on Jason Bulgarelli as a person. A father, a husband, a son etc.

This is such a sad thing to happen to a guy who gives his all to his club. I will be the first to criticise him, and quite frankly, I still cringe when I think of the Semi-final incident. But our comments on here shuold not, in the slightest way be based on how he plays football.

This guy has lost his source of income. He is a father of two. Geraldo is right in saying that it will affect his future career prospects, because football will not be his profession forever.

IMO, every single person on here shuold be presuming Boogs is innocent until he is PROVEN guilty. That means, once the police report comes out, we can then judge whether he has done the wrong thing.

Imagine if it was your name being dragged through the mud? Everyone here will admit that the club is bigger than the player, so the club will get through this.

As for the player... he may not get through this. He's not just a footballer... Just lay off him for a while. As I said, he may not be the greatest footballer of all time, but that sure as hell is no reason for us to treat someone horribly. After all, he's a better footballer than all of us.

Have a think about it.

Footballers aren't the only ones who face career challenges.

As a 28 year old he should already have his post-football career plans in hand.

Good post raiders boy. However if everything we have read is true then he has no one but himself to blame.

If it is all a 'stitch up' or a case of mistaken identity then I will retract the things I have said. But let me make my key point clear again: innocent or not, the club, the NRL, rugby league, etc etc.. has been tarnished by another scandal. It certainly doesn't look good and it saddens me that the raiders are at the centre of the storm.

Here's to a swift hearing so that the pre-season is not ruined by this. Hopefully a sensible outcome will be reached.

criticism is ok, but proof and in your case solutions are required

Solutions .. the old solutions arguement ... at least one one thing I've done is recognised that there is a problem ... most on this forum have not even got that far
