I've seen it time and time again. When a team or a player plays down in
grade, they play accordingly. It just seems to be a phenomanon. Conversely, when they are up a grade, they go really well.

True ... sometimes.

I saw Brent Webb play for Northcote a few years ago. He was playing hooker over at Bikenhead. He was electric!!! He was a step up from the other guys on the paddock and you knew that he'd be a superstar at some stage.

I'm still having a dollar each way TBH, quite frankly the majority of the team has been rubbish as well. It's embarrassing.
When you have a try to Price off a Jones bomb on Friday night-And your old prop is the only one chasing with the rest just ambling through- The whole ****ing team needs a serve to get a's into g. That is just not damn good enough

True, he was absolutely blinding in that game. That gap between Bartercard and NRL was very large though.

I think a guy whose primary attribute is evasion and speed is likely to succeed at lower levels, whereas Foran strikes me as an organiser. You can only organise to the level of skill around you I suppose.

I 'spose the thing with Foran is he's an organiser by nature, whereas Johnson/Moon are more your running types. Instinctively I think those two types of player gel well together, and so we could have been blooding Foran this year with a view to next year to have Johnson running at 6 with him. Perhaps even Johnson could have waited an extra year in 20s while we developed Foran into a more rounded NRL half, but now I sense we are at a point of panicking in round 1 2010 and it may not be the best thing for Johnson's overall development but we kinda need his spark. Phil Gould made a point on the Roast that you need speed particularly in and around the ruck and Stace just doesn't have that right now. Lance is creating opportunities with his speed, but isn't executing the final plays terribly well.

What chance for Dan O'Regan to come into top grade soon as a play playing back rowing doubling as an extra five eighth at times? I have a big rap on him. I think some of the basics lack as a full time half (particularly kicking), but he has a very nice short passing game. I'd be very keen to see himself and Tai'i in at the expense of Lilyman and Matulino, Mats only so he regain his optimum running game in the 20s.

I totally get that mate, there's no way a prop forward whose going to get through 200 metres should be the most energetic and enthusiastic bloke chasing down the park. That ball went a mile up, the fact no one else was chasing through was a disgrace. Some of the sh*t going on blows your mind, how Kemp blew that try Hohaia set up I'll never ever know.

Exactly. Sure Jones hasn't been great-but people seem to focus on that and not stuff like we mentioned. Here we have Jones with a good bomb, not mentioned, and praise for Price. And of course it's cool Price got the try and was there- But the fact remains other players should have, and should be getting strips torn off them.

Yes I'm grumpy and frustrated, and Warriors fans have good reason to be. It is just not good enough, when other teams have lifted a gear this year and the Warriors if anything have gone backwards. If Ives has seen the same game we have, there will be changes this week, big changes, to get some enthusiam in the side. Fat chance though.

Who said we can't agree?

Us persisting with Jones has raped us of alternatives; but now that it has proved to be a monumental failure, and our season is a failure, any alternative is better

Not much now Fien has gone.:?

Fein was a good hooker, crap halfback
Foran was going to be the big new name
Heremaia is a very good halfback but the play him at hooker, bit of an opposite of Fein..

Johnson has a year or 2 to go..

Unless Ivan starts chewing on the bullet regarding Heremaia, Stace is the man..

Fien > Jones

Heremaia should play at halfback from now- Jones to the bench, at best

Fein, a crap H/B who helped us acheive the W.C.
Fein, a player that Wayne Bennett obviously rates as he was happy to pick up. Sure that may be at Hooker...but I have a feeling he will be playing against us and may well really haunt us. And as much as I want to see the Warriors get a few wins...I really kinda feel the Warriors have got it coming if it happens.

I think Benny sees him as the answer to his hooker problems, be surprised to see him take Hornbys spot.

Agree with the WC, you cant deny he helped, but would he have been able to do it without the class either side of him ?

Fein isnt/wasnt/not in a million years a better halfback than Jones.

Would like to see Heremaia get a shot at 7...

No doubt Fien is a good hooker- better than anything we have at the moment and better than anything the Dragons have out of dummy half at the moment, really.

Fien would be a better option at halfback than Jones in the Warriors in 2009. So would Heremaia. Jones is a bench player at best

Fien was never up to this class...an average utility.

The only redeeming feature of Stacey's game is his short kicking game. The game is even faster then when Stacey was playing in his prime. He fails to create time for himself to select the right options and the outside backs hardly ever see the ball - Lockey and Vats have to come back towards him to recieve the pill.

The stats say it all.....bugger all line breaks, with the Warriors' resigned to kicking high or a grubber. The Warriors have never been a dynamic side capable of opening up a game against top eight sides....and that goes right back through Stacey's entire career.....new blood is required. The other most notable aspect is long range tries being scored against this team for years on end....breaks hearts.

Like the Bunnies....incredible set of forwards.....average set of backs.
