No. You questioned to what end they would selectively share (correct) data to the media. My reply was that it is to inflate future prices (for their roster of players, not just the individual concerned).

If correct data inflates prices wouldn't inflated data inflate them more? You still haven't proved the benefit of sharing real data with the media. If anything an accurate figure would alert the player that his private information is being shared around.

You seem to have trouble getting the point being made, that real estate agents aren't lying about actual sales data when feeding selective instances for favourable media articles, to serve their agenda to inflate the (future) market and create sense of movement (from which they profit).
