yeah but its more than just finance, what about the culture of the club its self? its prospects as a top team? and they are the most f**king boring team in the competition!

if they've made an iron clad guarentee to justin Poore, should he worry about that??

Say he is guaranteed of his salary even if the Sharks fold. Say the sharks are out next year. So he might get his full payout (if I was him I would make sure it was for the whole 3 years) and then get to sign on for another club and probably get paid too. So say the drags says OK, I'll sign you for 100K.

Then he would get $400K plus playing for the drags and still living where he wants to be.

The only downfall is that he is playing for the sharks.

NOTE: if it was me, I would say I would only sign for the sharks if the whole 3 years is guaranteed and paid for even if the club folds before those 3 years are up and I have an option to leave if another club takes the place of the sharks

What good does the guarantee do if the club folds, and you are in a line of creditors wanting your money?

Not saying thats the scenario, but a guarantee in the circumstance where a club goes bust isnt may not be the strongest guarantee in the world.

Not saying thats the scenario, but a guarantee in the circumstance where a club goes bust isnt may not be the strongest guarantee in the world.

i've heard that the leagues club is doing fine - but their footy club is rooted unless they get that development happening .... so a guarantee from the leagues club might make all the difference
